My Earrings Face To The Side

Would it be absurd to suggest making an appointment to go there in person? Like a little 3 day trip? They can start the settings ahead of time without the stones, and then set them while you're in town, and then angle them while you're there, so you can be sure they're right. I am sure Southwest has a darn cheap flight round trip, then you can do a little fun shopping and stuff there too. And yknow, try stuff on.

Unfortunately, I can't travel anywhere right now, too many tax return deadlines coming up in the next couple months so I'm chained to my office .

Update - - I spoke with Brian Gavin @ Brian Gavin Diamonds this week. He asked me to email pics of the earring from the front and back of each ear. He is deciding how to best fix the post so the diamonds will face forward on me. Will post again when when he has a solution in case anyone is interested.

My diamonds studs are going back on Monday to Brian Gavin Diamonds in Houston. They are going to be remounted in a platinum three pronged martini setting. The post will be angled for each earring, in theory like the pics skyqueen posted of her mountings.
Hopefully this will correct the problem and my studs will face to the front. I guess I'll know soon... Sigh....

My diamond stud earrings arrived back to me last week.
I had sent Brian Gavin Diamonds a pair of very inexpensive CZ earrings to show the way I needed the new mountings made. My friend and I bent the post on the CZ earrings until each one faced as forward as possible in each ear. I have to turn each post so that it is pointed toward my face and that makes the diamond face forward instead of to the side.
So my diamond studs are back and the post look totally crazy BUT it worked!! Here's a pic of my newly mounted diamonds.
