I thought about that but shipping my diamonds back to them will be SO expensive!
Not having someone else screw them up is worth it. And due to their valuation, you might have to pay them to use their FedEx account, unless you carry separate shipping insurance through your business, bec I think there's a valuation cutoff with USPS and you MUST insure these full value.

Did you have to have your post angled? If so did BGD do it for you?

I remember when you posted pictures. Your studs are breathtaking. I don't remember them facing to the side. I do hope you get them situated so that you're happy with them. :)

Thank you Tink:heart:
When I took the pic I posted, it was from an angle and I was holding my ear out so the diamond would show.
I didn't take a pic from the front view - no one wants to see that. LOL:nuts:

Maybe AME is right...get the posts repaired by BG. A "good" jeweler should be able to fix the posts but I don't know if a warranty/trade-up with BG would be effected.
Better safe than sorry. Angling the studs is so EASY but you need to do it in person to get the right fit.

Yes, I'm planning to send them back to Brian Gavin for the angling. The sales person talked me into 18kt mountings and I had really planned to purchase platinum. When I send the diamonds back I'm going to have them remounted in 3 prong martini platinum settings.
The problem with the angling will be they are in Houston and I'm on the AL Gulf Coast so it can't be done in person. I believe they will
need to be sharply angled on both studs.

The angling will have to be done in person, by a local jeweler, so you get the angle right. It's so easy...you should have no problem!

Last year I had to ship a pair of diamond earrings to a workshop in NYC. Fed would only insure for up to 2k ( or something similarly crazy) for an individual. I ended up having to ship them with UPS because they allowed me to insure them for their replacement value.
