Thanks dear! What a beautiful collection you have — thanks for sharing![]()
Tough question. Maybe some of the reds? I had a true red City and an RT Day. Just can't feel comfortable with that much colour but they were beautiful bags.Sooo good! Is there one that you regret selling the most?
2010 castagna Velo. The Velo is one of my favourite Bal styles.Wonderful collection...*sigh*...dreaming tonight of that first bag in the second lot of photos.
You know me and red, just can't do it.how could you sell the Day???
Thanks Fayden! I still have Day bags though, I don't mind the "dark hole" issue.I used to have a RT day... but couldn't find anything in it because it was too deep and I'm too short. Sold it!
You had some lovely bals though, those leathers!![]()
Thanks, but let's wait until @ksuromax posts pics her collection. She outranks me by a mile!Wow! I hope you ask Balenciaga for a VIP status. JK. But I love the velo style! Great picks!
08 marine. I highly recommend marine, the leather even in the 08 (it was made in 07 as well) is fab. What is that BLUE day, sixth picture down?
Thanks!Wow! you Bal collection is as gorgeous as your BV! those leathers![]()
A whole bunch of beauties, you've chosen very well! Here is my collection-- small, but much beloved. I have several bal bags on my wish list, when the money tree grows back.
1. The one that started it all for me: 2016 Black Vibrato City. I wish to be buried with it.
2. Anthracite Day. My first Day bag. Year might be 2009 or 2010. Thick, smooshy lamb.
3. 2005 Rouge Theatre Day, chevre. This particular leather is smooth and silky. When I wear it, it sometimes feels like water lightly brushing against my skin. Not the best picture; it just doesn't convey the gorgeous color.
4. 2007 Mogano City, chevre. What to say? This bag makes my mouth water every time I look at it. I got her last year practically new. The leather is pillowy, wrinkly, and chewey, and the color is brown with strong maroon undertones. The bag sits more comfortably on my shoulder than my Vibrato does.
5. 2004 Eggplant First, chevre. My favorite leather so far. It is unbelievably soft and substantial. And the color makes me very happy.
6. 2003 Black First with Pewter Hardware and long strap, chevre, I carry this bag often. Leather light, very smooth, and silky. I love the size of the Firsts for weekends and dinner events.
7. 2007 Black First, chevre. She came to me "well-loved" and was quite a project to restore. I'm still not quite sure if the color is black or plomb, but the leather is that gorgeous chewey, thick leather that marks 2007. She is much heftier than my 2003 because of the differences in leather, and almost looks like a different bag to me: more structured and holds its shape when things are in it.

Thanks, Much. I like to curate things rather than accumulate, if that makes sense. The Bal forum helped me a TON with this. Still seeking to add a magenta city or day, add the marine Day of yours to my inventoryA whole bunch of beauties, you've chosen very well!
It is simply gorgeous. I don't carry it often, but I DO take it out to just look at it and stroke the leather. That purple is amazing.
Thanks (I'm sure you are also commenting on Much's extensive collection as well). Your post a while back, in which you curate and discuss your extensive collection, is something everyone should see. What an education! I got lots of information from that. It helped me decide on years, color, etc. Looking presently to add more reds, something I KNOW you know a lot about.NICE, GORGEOUS, BEAUTIFUL .. yummy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
