If I were you, I would return it.

No matter how gorgeous the bag is, if it is poorly made, I won't tolerate that.

Breaking after one day is insane.

I have also heard from my friend that Prada bags do not last that long.

Totally depends on the bag----I have several Tessutos that can take anything and still look good. I have a couple Prada from a few years ago that have also held up-----one is a cervo antik and the finish is still good. Of course these are unstructured bags. Maybe the problem with the newer saffiano totes is due to their more rigid construction? Still doesn't excuse Prada not standing behind their (overpriced) product
