I am so incredibly angry that my blood is boiling a little. My saffiano tote that I bought yesterday (had exchanged the smaller one for the one with the zippers) is already falling apart. Like where the stitching on the handles is has split all the way and the leather portion of it is peeling up revealing a white layer underneath. On the corners of the bag the stitching is unraveling. I would expect this quality from a $17 bag not a $1790 one!!! I have literally only carried this bag once to dinner with my husband last night. What would you ladies do?? I will be even more mad if they suggest sending it out for repairs :/ I will attach pics.

I would return it and/or exchange it. I had to return a Prada about a month or so ago due to a gold button (I'm not sure what to call it) popping off the same day that I purchased it. Prada has gorgeous bags but I've been weary of their merchandise since. It's one thing to have a bag for at least a year and have a problem with it, but the same day or week you bought it? Definitely get your money back or exchange. For the price we pay for these designer bags, there is no excuse for poor craftsmanship.

They only offer one exchange and no returns. I am not a confrontational person at all so I don't really know how to be "demanding". I guess I am getting ready to learn because that's ridiculous for a new purse. Even if that's what their policy is I don't want another purse from them if this is what their quality is. :nono:

And that is exactly how I would state it to them.

Did you pay with a credit card? If so i would contact them and tell them what happened and see what their consumer protection covers.

This is one reason why I only buy pre-owned. The bag has already been 'road tested' so if there are any problems I (hopefully) know about them ahead of time.

Good lucK!

Thats terrible. I wouldn't care if the item was $10 or $1000, I would go back to the store. I wouldn't think they can say no as it's just been purchased and if you have the receipt. Please let us know how you make out.
