I'm still confused! You mentioned earlier you were also a size US 8. Was that for bottoms then? I'm also a size medium in tops (but this is more for juniors clothing, I guess... I can't say for sure in women's sizing), yet am a size US 5 in bottoms.
I'm an 8 in dresses, 8 in tops, and 6-8 in bottoms. Or 29 in jeans. I'm pretty consistently a M when I go shopping now and if I'm not usually the brand sizing is off. All in contemporary sizing, I might be a size bigger in juniors. Haven't shopped in juniors for awhile. I was probably wrong to say it is junior sizing.
ETA: at the stores I shop at a 6-8 is usually a medium. Does that clear up any confusion?

Okay, I just got my dress today! It took exactly 2 weeks .. pretty annoying. But that was from Asos so I can't speak for the actual motelrocks.com website. I lovvveee the dress. I got a medium, and for my next dress i might consider getting a large. It isn't too tight or anything, it's just a little short. Definately wearable, but i'm def going to have to keep pulling it down all night. Nonetheless, I looovvveee it, and i'm definately ordering more! Except probably not from Asos (even though it was cheaper there).
