I'm usually a M or size 8 in the US. Sometimes I can size down. The dresses just say M inside.

Pixie market doesn't have very many styles of Motel, but they have other cute clothes too. There is also another cute dress shop near by called Yumi Kim.

I'm really thin, but I have hips and a butt. And usually when I buy things, it's the standard S M L ... but in like certain things from Urban Outfitters i'm like a 6? So I think lilac is saying don't follow what the "uk size" is and just go with either the S M L? not too sure, but I did order a M and I'm going to wait until I get it to buy more, just in case the sizing is off.

The dresses I have are pretty much just right. Not tight and not loose.

It sounds like both you gals might do better in the S size. Some of the dresses have stretch in them. I would follow what you usually order in the XS/S/M way of sizing and ignore the UK size numbers.

As far as the charge on my credit card, the pounds were simply converted into dollars using the current rate and my credit card company charged me its standard 3% foreign transaction fee.

A good price right now since the dollar is strong against the pound.

The clothes were shipped on Friday so I'll let you know how long it takes to get to me in NYC. I'm anxiously awaiting.

Motel have some lovely dresses, I only have one though as a lot of people wear them here because the sell them in some Topshop stores too.

I find the sizes are quite big fitting though so I would probably get a smaller size than usual uk size 10 would probably be ok with a small

what did you get? how do they fit? and what size did you get? i ordered my dress from asos and it's taking forever! i'm about to place another order from the actual motelrocks website!

Mine are great! I got a M in the zoe dress, the sharon dress, the danielle dress, and the black bow back tee. The Sharon dress fits a bit odd on me, but it is the right size. The sizing is forgiving because most of the dresses have a bit of stretch to them. The seam on the Zoe dress is no longer on the side of the dress after I washed it, it is twisted towards the front and back.

The Sharon and Zoe will be great for going clubbing because they are machine washable and relatively cheap when on sale. I don't have to worry about getting spilled on anymore. :) The BF also thinks the dresses are sexy.

I'm really happy with this brand because I am short-ish (5'4") but wear a M, so some brands like Abate go past my knees when I get to my size. But these are actually still minis on me!
