It absolutely breaks my heart when one of my favorite bags starts to show signs of wear. Which bags have you found to be most resistant to scuffs, scratches and stains?

I'd love to know!

In my personal experience, I seem to have the greatest difficulty with satchels. I always end up scratching the top of the bag with my watch as I put it over my arm. Plus the handle usually starts to show wear because it comes into contact with skin oils so frequently.

Anyway, I'd love to hear your feedback.

Bottega Cervo Hobo is unbelievable (and it's metallic)

Some of my Guccis are over 20 years old and still look like new. Def go for boar-skin for durability and longevity.

Roots, which is not designer but not low end discount store, they are handmade in Toronto. They unless your rather abusive are very durable and the company can redo linings, zippers and even redye and repair...

I have some in double digits for aging, they have many leathers that they create them in too.

I have a nylon bag from Fossil that just will not die. Their leather bags hold up to quite a beating and still look amazing. Otherwise, I'd have to say this one D&B I inherited which looks great for its age.

I've carried a laptop, lenses and an SLR inside a Prada Nylon Tessuto Nero Tote for several years as an all-around travel bag and it still looks good (of course I need to maintain it with paper stuffing and storage in the dustbag)
