Most durable LV material for a male bag?

Bags in Taïga leather tend to develop bad corner wear in my experience. Epi is more durable. If you want something that can last 15 years, I suggest a bag in canvas (whichever you like best) with leather corners or leather pipping because they can be replaced as needed and the bag will look like new again.
Hey what about the wallets for men is it the same issue as well ?

I own leather and canvas small leather goods (wallets). I come to find that canvas has a tendency to crack, especially in areas of high stress from opening and closing. The glazing will also come off within 1-2 years of normal use. LV offers repair services to reglaze the wallet, so long as the canvas doesn’t show any signs of cracking. The canvas itself gets very stiff and shiny over time. Leather will soften and “bulge” if you wear it in your back pocket. EPI leather is the best balance of durability and structure. For me, bags and backpacks canvas all the way. SLG’s EPI is best, then canvas, then infini leather, taiga last.

Taiga is more durable than Epi for SLGs in my experience. I have SLGs in both and my Taiga wallet that I’ve had for at least 5 years now is more durable than any Epi SLG I have or any canvas SLG. It does get corner wear but you just need to get the edges revarnished every few years. When I tell you my wallet looks just like it did the day I got it I mean it! And I’m a guy, so I put my wallet in my pocket and use it every single day.

I find that Epi is more prone to getting scratches and indentations since the texture of it is a little more raised, whereas the Taiga is more flat and grainy so it’s harder to scratch and it hides scratches better.

In regards to scratches specifically, yes Epi will show more scratches because of its raised pattern, BUT, as far as overall durability, it stands up the rest of time much better than Taiga. Taiga gets corner wear, wrinkling, out of shape rather quickly. Plus, it’s so blah. To each their own, but you are a probably the first person I ever encountered that said taiga leather was more durable than Epi. Ask any SA, Client Advisor, they will sell Epi all day everyday because of its durability and they know it won’t cause quality problems for them down the line.

I’ve just based my reply on my own personal experience, because I have SLGs that I use daily in both materials.
