just came from the other sneaker thread and agree with @HavPlenty re McQ sneaks. however, everyone's feet are diff so ymmv. I can also attest to Hogan sneaks being very comfy. Mine have lasted over 6 years and still going strong.

Sorry for the super late reply and slight OT, but I have the Rick Owens Vejas and I can't figure out the laces to save my life!! How do you tie them?I agree with your assessment of Converse, GG etc. Have you considered Common Projects Tournament or Achilles styles? A minimalist look that might work as an alternative to Adidas Superstars. I haven’t worn mine for a while but they’re decent quality leather and well padded for all day comfort.
Otherwise for me and my demanding feet Ann Demeulemeester high tops are amazing for all day wear but they’re expensive and have a very urban look. Similar aesthetic but cheaper and more casual are Rick Owens x Veja knit sneakers - regular Veja aren’t comfy for me.
Allbirds make some super comfortable sneaker and sneaker like styles that are light and packable - definitely worth considering and trying a pair if you see something that might work. I was hesitant about Allbirds until I tried them (actually DH bought me a pair and insisted I try them). All day wear out of the box, no blisters! I take a pair of Wool Runners with me when I travel, even just for wear as recovery shoes so no time wasted nursing sore feet.
Sorry, I don’t know. I’ve got two pairs of the RO Veja Performance V knit sneakers and I’ve never needed to adjust the lacing - I just pull them on.Sorry for the super late reply and slight OT, but I have the Rick Owens Vejas and I can't figure out the laces to save my life!! How do you tie them?
Thanks! Mine have these crazy long laces and I can't quite make it work. Sorry mods, BTT.Sorry, I don’t know. I’ve got two pairs of the RO Veja Performance V knit sneakers and I’ve never needed to adjust the lacing - I just pull them on.
I did same with a pair of Venturi sneakers I tried but returned so the lacing issue hasn’t come up.
Question pls:
has anyone here tried Atoms sneakers versus allbirds
and are they TTS? (I’m a 37 birkenstock sneaker, so would also love a size recommendation)
thanks
Thank you so much! This is great to know. Also, last year, I think you may have recommended Golden Goose Ball star, and they are much more comfy than hi star or the other oneI don't have Atoms, but my DH got me Allbird flannel slipper shoe things for Christmas and I had to size up and they're still snug.

Have you checked YouTube? I often find videos of lacing certain footwear on thereSorry for the super late reply and slight OT, but I have the Rick Owens Vejas and I can't figure out the laces to save my life!! How do you tie them?
I have the hippies, they’re super comfy.I love the look of the McQueen sneakers!
I understand the OP might be more looking for round-toe sneakers, but gotta say that Nike Space Hippies are the most comfortable things I’ve ever put on my feet. Like socks with pillows on the bottom!
