I have a pair of Adidas Superstars that have been my comfort go-to pair for every heavy sightseeing vacation. But I'm tired of them. Does anyone have a favorite sneaker that's cushy with support that gets them through all-day walking in comfort? Converse, Golden Goose, Vans and Veja are not cutting it for me for this purpose.
Also, I don't want a "dad" sneaker clunky look. Thank you for any suggestions

Do you specifically want a designer sneaker?

I too wear Adidas Superstars for daily wear, for work actually.
Interesting that Golden Goose doesn't work for you. I have a particular Golden Goose pair that is very plush but last time I went to the store, they said they don't make that particular model anymore.

If you want to go for luxury sneakers, I have heard that Chanel ones are very comfortable. Though, I can't say because I don't own a pair.
Coach sneakers are pretty comfortable, I owned a pair and my husband swears by them haha. I like how they can be personalized as well.

Chloe sneakers are very comfortable for the most part, I'm thinking of the Nama ones. (not sure now, I haven't tried on the newest ones, but last time I did they were super comfy and light), but you'll have to try them on and see if you like the look on you. They can be a bit out there and maybe too chucky for your tastes.

I think you mean the Golden Goose Pure Star? I need to try those. I don't necessarily want a designer sneaker and I'm trying to pay less than $600 this time. Thank you

I have 7 pairs of Golden Goose and while cute and designer, they're by no means "cushy" and comfy like a true athletic shoe, like I couldn't wear them to Disney or if I worked on my feet all day.
My DH got me some white On Cloud and they're comfy like a Nike without being. . . well Nike lol

Here's mine, even my junior in college wants them, said everyone has them there lol

I find my Y-3 boost cushioned and 4D cushioned models to be particularly comfortable (they are available in both women's and ladies styles).

I highly recommend the Adidas NMD. I have a collection of them because they're cheap, incredibly comfortable for 10+ hour days, and they fit my custom insoles:yahoo: They come in a plethora of colors (both standard and seasonal).

Those are so cute for cooler temps but I want more of a stan Smith or converse look for summer dresses. I can’t do the chunky athletic look with that like some people as I look ridiculous

I agree with your assessment of Converse, GG etc. Have you considered Common Projects Tournament or Achilles styles? A minimalist look that might work as an alternative to Adidas Superstars. I haven’t worn mine for a while but they’re decent quality leather and well padded for all day comfort.

Otherwise for me and my demanding feet Ann Demeulemeester high tops are amazing for all day wear but they’re expensive and have a very urban look. Similar aesthetic but cheaper and more casual are Rick Owens x Veja knit sneakers - regular Veja aren’t comfy for me.

Allbirds make some super comfortable sneaker and sneaker like styles that are light and packable - definitely worth considering and trying a pair if you see something that might work. I was hesitant about Allbirds until I tried them (actually DH bought me a pair and insisted I try them). All day wear out of the box, no blisters! I take a pair of Wool Runners with me when I travel, even just for wear as recovery shoes so no time wasted nursing sore feet.

Yes, I think I have those! All white on white. I found them to fit very similar to my Adidas superstars but more soft and plush. Color transfer from jeans is very easy though. :P

In the past I've worn some Nike running shoes, while quite flexible and soft and did not need to break in, they wore down pretty quickly. That was with constant running for about 3 months straight though. So if you're just walking around, I don't think they'll wear down that quickly or badly.

@violina my Salomon high top hiking shoes are my go to for rough terrain, love them!

Right, I just don't do well with the running shoe look with mini dresses and stuff. I need something more "street" than athleisure

Santoni has a whole line of shoes that might cover what you are looking for. All made to exacting standards.
