i actually don't think this is an issue with solvent. that would mean the entire BAG from top to bottom on two sides had to be sprayed. the only way to justify the solvent, is that the bag was soaked in a solvent (which i'm certain isn't the case).

i'm more inclined to still believe it's faulty canvas. please bring it into the store!

Is it possible that you had used bug spray such as “off” on you or around it that would have splashed on it? I had a longchamp bag ruined because of bug spray! It melted the interior coat on the canvas and it was just on one spot.

if it was 6 years old, it takes it back to 2015 when LV was having canvas/glazing issues. wouldn't be shocked.

this is abnormal. i'd highly recommend bringing this into the store.
At that period of time, LV‘s glazing (leather edge) was having problems, not the canvas .
This looks like something abrasive or corrosive happened to that surface .

Here is the bag. It's only on one side

Just curious if you ended up taking the bag into the store? I've seen multiple posts (on other sites, FB groups, etc. as well as this one) from bags from 2015/2016 that had the bubbling/peeling mono canvas issues, and typically a store credit is given because of the known defect. Monogram Artsy and Delightful were definitely some of the bags with these issues. Please update us!!

I don't know if there was a problem in a certain year, but I have a Delightful that is maybe 10 years old and I have used a LOT, and the monogram has held up well. I recently sent it to LV to have the leather replaced because it has aged and cracked, but the monogram has held up amazingly well, especially considering how much I have used it and that I haven't babied it. I would definitely try taking it to the store if you can, because that's not typical for monogram to do and seems like a defect that they should at least give you store credit for. I have other monogram pieces, including a wallet that's probably 15 years old and very well loved, and none of them have done that.
