Few more pics, as I bought a custom strap in dark burgundy. Can't find original strap for sale in this color. I think I may have ordered too thin a width, though...1/2 inch vs 1" width. The larger width comes in lighter burgundy with a pebble grain, so I may just stick with this thinner one. Thoughts?

Update: while the previous dark burgundy strap was almost an exact match, the strap proved to be too thin for the size of the bag and uncomfortable. So I'm going to have to send it back and use this one I ordered instead. It's burgundy, so a bit lighter, but SO comfortable! Matches the bag aesthetic better. I sure wish I could find the original strap for this bag. How do you think it looks?

The 1/2 inch strap seems too thin. I am thinking of ordering a 1 inch cotton woven strap for mine. How do you like the bag so far? I worry about further discoloration of the LV Lin fabric. Yours looks great without much discoloration.

Yes, the thicker strap I have now is perfect. I used this bag exclusively for 7 months (just rotated it out of use for my DE Speedy now that the rains have started). I flew across country 4x with the Josephine GM. Really love the doctor's bag opening for travel. The jacquard is sturdier than I expected, so if I saw any dirt (usually in corners), I would wipe down with some soap and water or a spritz of this great water-based spot remover called Folex. I had been looking for the preloved LV strap and would often see those in navy, not cherry. So, I'd keep an eye out if you want original strap. Enjoy your bag...it really is great and the PM is the perfect size for daily use. My GM is more than I need on a daily basis, but was great when shopping or traveling.

I would love to get my hands on a navy LV strap. Please let me know if you see one. Thanks. The bag comes with the original care instruction which showed to use water to just wipe it down if soiled. Glad that this method works. I like the Doctor's bag opening also. You can see everything in the bag...no more fishing!! Glad I found your post.

Yes, I can't wait! And I love the look of the black PM. I was thinking about getting a Samorga insert for this once it arrives....buy maybe it's not necessary? I have one in my Speedy and love it, but that's only because of the black hole effect of those bags, haha. I feel like it will be different with this one. I did order a dark burgundy adjustable strap to use with it. I was trying to find an authentic LV one online for sale separately, but no such luck - at least not in this color. So, hoping that will look okay with this. Stay tuned!

Ohhhh...after stalking for 2.5 years, I was fiinally able to get a seller to part with just a strap for me to buy. Considering my original purchase of a pristine Josephine GM was such a ridiculous deal, I am happy I made the investment in the strap as it now increases the value. And it really just seems so much nicer and more comfortable then the replacements I tried. Plus I just can't resist the quality of the stitching, leather and the original hardware!
