Hello! Has anyone else had this issue? I am far from delicate on my bum bag, but I have only had it for 1 year and a half. The canvas has cracks in various places. Is this a known defect or have I just ruined my bag on my own? Haha thank you!!

Yes, can you post some photos of the damage?

I don't absolutely baby my bags, I just take good take care of them like I do any other possessions, and I've never had any issues with cracking canvas. It can happen over time at stress points, e.g. on bags which have flaps that fold over, etc. But in a year and a half I would find that unusual unless it's seen extremely heavy and/or careless use.

Thanks for the pictures. and yes the cracks are very noticeable even from the pictures.....omg... I just ordered a world tour version for this and have been waiting for it for weeks, now I am really concerned... I remember canvas cracks cannot be repaired?
Is this a design flaw? Did you talk to LV customer service yet?

Wow, sorry that's happened to your bag. :sad: It wouldn't do any harm to take it to LV to ask what can be done. They may offer a replacement, if it's a known issue. I would be very disappointed if that happened to my bag within a year and a half.

I reached out to the repair team last month, but never heard back. I just sent out another email with these photos and called concierge to ask about my options. They said that emails often get lost, so the best bet is taking it to a physical store. I will try to do that this week and keep you guys updated! Thanks for the advice

saw this issue on a youtube video. i will link it below. in a later video this you tuber said lv let her exchange the bumbag for something else because of the cracks:

Sorry I’m just updating now!! Life has been crazy!

I contacted client services and they emailed back saying they regret to inform me it was progression of wear and could not be repaired. I took it to my local LV which is 1.5 hours away for a second opinion. They said they couldn’t do anything for me. No apologies, just that it’s happening a lot because of the pandemic and hand sanitizer??? WHAT LOL. definitely turned me off from purchasing retail in the future. I just got my PSM which was the last bag on my wishlist, so I’m on a self inflicted LV ban for a bit. I’m going to venture out to other brands because this whole situation was extremely off putting

Sorry to hear this!
I’ve had my bum bag for about a year now and haven’t seen any cracking. While I don’t baby my bags I do change out of them constantly. So maybe I haven’t used it as much. Now I’m cautious
