I have two very very active boys (4 and 2 years old). When they were babies, I got a prada diaper bag. Loved it. Carried it alot initially. I would also wear my chanel lambskin woc. It's honestly more durable than people think. Then realized backpack all the way. So I just got a sporty back pack from Columbia and wore that.
Now that they are "older" and after having my second and realizing I don't need to take the whole nursery in my bag, I only really carry a crossbody bag. So lately, I've been using gucci soho disco, chanel mini cf, lv pochette metis, chanel on the road tote, chanel boy old medium bag. I dont carry my woc because I can't fit a diaper in it. I did use my woc alot when I was pregnant. It was perfect then.

When I go to the store alone, I'll take my jumbo cf or woc out. I only wear my m/l cf on dinner dates, gno, weddings so that has not seen daylight since covid.

You can really wear anything that's comfortable for you.

Hi there! Surprisingly, my bag habits and preferences didn't change much when I became a mommy. In the earliest of days, I used a proper diaper bag with a chanel mini, reissue or seasonal bag tucked inside. Sometimes, the diaper bag would stay in the stroller while carried the purse and baby. Very quickly, I swapped the diaper bag for a seasonal chanel tote or shoulder bag. On days where I didn't need much, a chanel mini worn cross body worked perfectly for me. I did not use my WOC's when my son was little because I found them too limiting in what I could carry. For me, carrying a nice bag enabled me to still feel like me as I launched into the early mommy years. I was fortunate that I never had any serious spills from bottles or baby food.
Chanel bags are much more durable than people think! Best wishes! :)

i tried in the tpm size too in etoupe but it was too long on me. I’m 5’2”. Wish the strap was adjustable.Could buy a shorter strap for it but H straps are so expensive.

I’m always looking for a practical Chanel bag. Sometimes there are great seasonal designs that are more carefree. I have a reissue 225, reissue camera bag, woc and square mini.I can wear them all with my kids (6&8) but think they’re still too flashy and the chain can hurt after some time. I just got a denim medium flap and think it’s pretty carefree and casual but still screams Chanel. I’m eyeing next either another camera bag or bucket bag but think H bags might better options for mom bags. Will have to give the Evelyn another try. Also waiting to get a garden party which will be a good option but not for parks etc. other option is a nice bum bag.
But let us know what you decide to get!
I am also looking into camera bags, but I do agree the chain being uncomfortable sometimes, and I don’t know if it will be uncomfy for the baby when I carry her. Now I am even more tempted to get the evelyne tpm.

I am using this mini chevron flap for quick runs nearby.. For longer or further trips, i use my Boy Old medium as i need to squeeze in a diaper! Lol and wet wipes for sure..

Caviar is for sure and dark colors for me. I have yet to pull the trigger on light Chanel!
I do own quite a few light Chanels and I will not be using them when going out with my baby. Lol

Maybe when she’s a bit older.

May I know how did your lambskin woc age? I have a lambskin woc and also 2 lambskin minis, I am very unsure about using them when outing with the baby. Because I will definitely be putting all my attention to the baby and not care about the bag.

That is lovely! Unfortunately for me, I do not feel like myself at all after having my baby, I just feel like a tired mom. I love my baby to bits and I would not trade this for anything, but I feel like I’ve lost myself. So I’ve turned to shopping to make myself feel better. Lol

Anyway, I am in the process of replacing some bags that I hardly reach for to some more baby friendly bags. I kept the ones I love. <3

Hi mommies, what is your favorite bag to wear taking your young kids out?

I am planning to to downsize my collection significantly and get a few new mommy-friendly bags and maybe another woc. Would be great if you can include what leather the bag is made of. TIA

When I had my son I just used the Prada diaper bag, it is very convenient. When he got older (he is 2 now), I just used a small nylon Prada backpack. It was difficult to use my Chanels while carrying him because of the chains. I currently have a newborn and I've been using the Prada diaper bag again and the Longchamp Neo small backpack.

I downsized my collection since becoming a mom and the bags are mostly for display. It is not like I can go anywhere with covid around and having a newborn. I will probably use the bags again when they are older, but for now they serve as eye candy.

Congrats on your newborn! My baby is 7 months old, and so far I’ve only been using the diaper bag since I mostly carry her with the carrier instead of the stroller.

My bags are not even on display as they stay in their dustbags in my bag closet. I take comfort in knowing I will be using them when my baby is a bit older.

And we mostly stay home now, so I guess I am shopping for new bags just for the sake of shopping. Lol

I used my lambskin woc for about a year nonstop with my second. It has a lot of wear where the chains rub the flap and needs a good spa day but otherwise it’s held up for the amount ive used it. Think it being flatter and closer to my body helped. I used it while baby wearing so I always had access to my cards and phone and used a diaper bag for everything else.
I think minis would be fine if not baby wearing. I find if I have a bulky bag and need to carry my kid they end up “sitting” on the bag if that makes sense.
My kids are older now and I don’t use the woc as much as I should. Only for nights out or when traveling when that was normal.
I’m still considering a belt bag worn crossbody. But wondering if it’s too young and I’m too old for that trend now. Lol
