Mixing Metals?

I have a ring from Warren Jewelers that uses white and rose gold. Tiffany does a lot of two tone pieces metals; their new lock line comes to mind.

James Banks mixes metals too.

Le Gramme is more aimed towards men, but I love the aesthetic and they have mixed options (as well as custom potential).

I'm also currently eyeing LV's Idylle Blossom line.

Another option is finding pieces you love from smaller brands and seeing if a two-tone option can be custom made for you, like a diamond station piece where the chain is yellow gold and the bezel is white gold.

Also, an easy alternative is to swap out the chain for a pendant, mixing the two. This came with the chain shown, but shows what I'm talking about:

Thanks for your suggestions! I LOVE the yellow and white Tiffany Lock….one day

Back in the day, I would have said absolutely not. The older more mature me says do whatever you please and what makes you happy. Though most of my jewelry is white gold or platinum, I do have a small YG pave diamond mama necklace that I wear daily. I don’t care if it clashes with my solitaire diamond or my heart both in WG when I wear them because it bakes me smile. Shouldn’t your jewelry make you happy?

The bolded sums it up, and for me I realize having my metals all a consistent color makes me happy right now. Maybe (probably) my tastes will change down the road….

Incidentally, I tried on the Tiffany lock last week in mixed yellow and white gold, and it really didn’t spark any joy for me. My budget just went “phew!”

I really don't like how the Bvlgari bzero white gold chain looks near my hair / face in terms of color. I learned the hard way that white gold looks good on my hands, but not anywhere near my highlighted hair.

So, I decided to turn my bzero into a mixed metal look. I wasn't sure if it the necklace alone would be odd, so I also bought a few different mixed metal earrings to make the look seem deliberate. Here are a pair by Marco Bicego. Interestingly, a lot of designers are mixing metals right now, so it wasn't hard to find earrings (or necklaces, if you're looking for those).

I think it looks great!
I, too, love white gold on my hands, but prefer yellow or rose bear my face!

That looks beautiful! I didn’t know you could mix metals with the Bzero collection. The diamonds really sparkle against the white but the gold chain adds warmth. Lovely!

Thank you! I think it might be due to skin tone being different than eye color or hair tone. My skin is a true neutral, which can wear yellow, rose or white gold, but I've highlighted my hair to a warm gold. I didn't take this into account when ordering the white gold.

Thank you so much! It depends on which bzero. The smaller ones have a fixed chain that can't be swapped out. The larger ones allow you to swap the chain. I originally picked this style because I also love the look of pave against rhodium-coated white gold... but the chain that comes with it looks dull grey. For the price, I would have expected bvlgari to do something better with the chain...

Been a while since something has been posts here! I am just wondering if anyone thinks the below will look nice together?

- diamond stud earrings in WG (wear these intermittently)
- moissanite emerald-cut necklace pendant in WG (on order)
- 18kt YG bangle (very rarely take this off, given to me by my grandmother)
- Stirling silver diamond tennis bracelet (wear this intermittently)

I don’t usually wear WG necklaces, but this one just looked so nice and the price was insane.
