Sorry about my earlier rant, but I keep getting really sick of these "save the whales", tree hugging, flower revolution people. Every couple of months we go through this. Let's keep our political, religious and cultural vews to ourselves and not go through trying to prove who is right or wrong until someone's feelings are hurt. Back to the topic.

:goodpost:
That's what I wanted to say. You can't like someone less because they wear fur. I don't care how many fur coats Mira has and where the "actual" fur came from I still see her as a lovable and caring person. Let's actually look at the charitable things she's doing instead on focusing on some Hermes fur coat...

I think to really keep going back and forth on this you really have to know where you are coming from, meaning you have to actually experience -30 to -40 celcius. Fur has been and will always be part of the culture. Check out Sable in Action thread. There is NO batter alternative to meters of snow and rigid cold temperature. I would really wish people knew what they were talking about when they try to prove the point time and time again foaming at the mouth. Seriously! This is not Miami or LA or even New York. Please do some research next time as this is not the time of the place for PETA!

I agree, Birkin and Milochka. I would never judge someone, and those freezing temps are brutal. I have some fur earmuffs given to me as a gift, and yes, I do wear them. This thread is not a political/support a cause thread. It is a fashion thread. If you don't like the fur, just say you don't like it but no need to get in to "why" or whether it is right or wrong. Comment from a fashion standpoint as this is a fashion forum. There are plenty of other 'fur debate' threads floating around somewhere on TPF specifically for that kind of discussion.

Mira tweeted a few pics from the Little Hearts Day event.

Mira told the sweetest story over the tweeter. She was leaving a supermarket when she saw an old lady selling metrieshkas out in the freezing cold. Her face and hands were red from cold. She ended up giving her all the cash she had on her as well as exchanging phone numbers and promising to keep in touch. I celebrate her for doing this. It's so awful that old people have to live in and endure such conditions.
