If they're still family I don't understand why they split up? They could have at least tried a bit more for Flynn's sake...? I'm sad they're over, but it's nice to see they're on good terms. Poor kid though

Maybe they did try. Sometimes staying together for the sake of the child is worse than splitting up.
Will Smith and his ex consider each other family, still do things together and get along well. Just. Just because you split, doesn't mean you can't still 'family'.
