Any advice for relaxing a tense Elephant? My Elephant Mattie is so stiff and rigid that I almost never use it - I want and need to use the end cap pockets, but the leather is too rigid to work the zippers without a frankly ridiculous amount of force. I know this is one of RM's firmest leathers, but how can I help it relax so that I can actually enjoy it?

The only way I know how to make firm leather loosen up is a last resort, after you've tried conditioning, etc. Rubbing alcohol sprayed on leather can soften it. You have to be careful though because it can affect the finish, but none of mine have had any adverse reactions. But still, it is a last resort. Follow with conditioner when dry.

Thank you very much! I might try this in a few limited areas, like around the zippers on the end cap pockets. Probably about time for another all-over dose of Lexol, too!

Hi, all - looking for an honest opinion...I bought a new strap for my Made in NYC BBW MAM with the green zipper track. I don't like the straps that connect to the dog leash clips on the side. I prefer having a strap that connects to the D rings on the front and back. However...I accidentally clicked 1.5 inch versus 1 inch strap. I love the actual strap - great quality and super comfy on the shoulder - but does the width look wonky with the bag?

Wider straps are pretty on trend right now and comfy to use so I'd just enjoy it!! I think it looks good.
