Minimizing My Bag Collection Help Needed

I like handheld so am afraid the 25 would look silly as a handheld but I also like crossbody and the 30 may look funny that way.

Oh this first world problem is driving me nuts. HELP!!!!!

I just want to comment on how incredibly beautiful that Chanel is!!! May i ask why you never/rarely use it, even though you think it’s the most beautiful of your bags (which i humbly agree). Totally understand if it doesn’t work w/ your lifestyle, or size issue, etc but it really is a total STUNNER!! Good luck deciding!:flowers:

I personally wouldn't sell any of them. You actually have a very small collection, but if you are determined to sell one, I would get rid of one of the Speedys....probably the Damier Ebene since it doesn't have the shoulder strap option. Like you, I also prefer to carry these bags hand held but the shoulder strap option can really come in handy when you are carrying multiple other items with you. The monogram Speedy is just more versatile with the strap option. Plenty of people carry Speedy 25 and 30 as both hand held and shoulder strap. I have never seen it look silly carried either way. I definitely would not get rid of the Chanel. It is the only non-casual bag in the collection. It can be worn casually, yes, but it is the only one that is really suited for more dressy occassions (weddings, nice parties, etc). You say that you love this bag and I would think you may have seller's remorse if you were to get rid of it.

Hi!:wave: Let me start off by saying I have the same Chanel bag as you, except mine is lilac and in small size. Your burgundy version is amazingly beautiful and I am so sure you can pair it with countless outfits. I like the classic burgundy shade on a casual style bag. Start using it and I am sure you will reach for it more often! :heart: If I were you I'd probably keep the mono speedy as it offers as a cross body bag and a handheld bag- I think using a 30 as a cross body is totally ok! I see many ladies using it that way and it looks divine. good luck deciding!! :yes:

Sell the Chanel flap - since you don’t use it.

Bolide, mono speedy, and Evelyn are all with shoulder straps. Imo you only need one. Personally I’ll let go speedy and Evie since your bolide is in black and shall suit many more occasions than the other two. Besides Hermes craftsmanship warrants the durability of having the bolide as a workhorse bag.

So overall, keep Bolide and the top handle speedy, sell the rest and no need to buy Evie unless it’s a very unique pop color you can’t live without.

I would use it more but the strap constantly falls off my shoulder which is super annoying. Sometimes I use it hand held but the shorter chain which works. I also find flap bags aren't as easy to access. It's so pretty so though. I plan to break it out for the next few weeks for the holidays though.

I saw a gal at the grocery store tonight with a Chanel Flap in SHW, I think a jumbo. I appreciated the look, but not for me. We can admire, but we have to carry what works.

I am so with you. I had a jumbo and it wasn't for me. I thought this Chanel bag looked a bit more casual but I really don't think the Flap style bag works for me. I guess I am having trouble getting over the fact that I think I should have at least one Chanel in my collection.

Then don’t get rid of it yet. Is it really necessary to downsize now? Sounds like you are very unsure. I have sold several bags in the past that I now really regret. One was a vintage brown Chanel suede camera bag that was pristine. I so regret it. I would suggest you wait until you are certain. Good luck.

I kept my WOC. ;) And I have a Chanel Wallet, Chanel card holder, and the Chanel key holder. So, I enjoy that hit of luxe inside my other bags. I mix it up! I do appreciate Chanel, it's just a little to "fancy" as a daily handbag for me. I use the WOC when I travel and when I go out to dinner dates.

give your collection is only 4 bags...I don't know why you'd sell anything besides financial reasons. that collection, especially in this place, is completely reasonable. but if you have to sell anything I'd say sell one of the Speedys. it's a duplicate bag, every other has a purpose none of the others meet. I know ppl r saying sell the Chanel, but I'd keep it, it'll be nice if you attend a formal event, the others are very casual and would look very out of place at a black time [or other formal] event. to me the most logical decision would be to sell one of the Speedys.
