Minimalist/low key bags (Polene, Leo et Violette, etc.)

Hi! I was *this close* to splurging on a Celine and then I did a deep dive into non/low-logo quality bags. What brands are on your list?

The ones I am watching (of varying quality) include:

I am looking to add 2-3 crossbody bags + a bag for work (large enough to fit a paperback book in) to my collection. Think I might move forward with the Leo et Violette Le Petit Violette in Camel and the Le Sienna in Khacki. Thoughts? I also love the Polene and Sage Femme bags in grey.

Thoughts on the shape of any of these? The Sienna gives me Celine Box vibes

I love longchamp, APC and sezane. And my favorite for high end underrated luxury is Loewe.

I've recently fallen in love with Massaccesi Handbags. The craftsmanship by Marco Massaccesi is impeccable, and I love his wide selection and variety of colors and leathers. The bags are also bespoke, so I am able to customize my lining, my leather choice, add an extra pocket or remove a feature I don't need/like, etc.

Of what you have on your list - Polene is high on my list. I love the look of the Numero Un Mini.

Even though I like the functionality of the Senreve Maestra, I just don't love the look of the tab/flap closure.

I have two Mansur Gavriel bags and a Polene bag, and love all three. The leather quality on the Polene bag is excellent. Better than would usually be expected for the price range.

Great list. Though it's not a bag company, I've had some amazing leather bags from Brooks Brothers. The old bag I have is logo-less and the scrumptious leather rivals BV for softness and durability.

I did try a Leo et Violette camera bag. It was very nice, but I ultimately decided to part with it, because it was a bit redundant in my collection. But I have nothing but good words to say about their quality and customer service.

I’m so happy that Strathberry made it onto your list.

I finally got their navy blue East/West Mini while in London this fall. I think it’s lovely and versatile—though elegant, it can be dressed up or down. The quality is solid and the customer service was excellent.

I see that you’re looking at another mini bag from them. I’m not sure where you’re located, but I would suggest checking it out in person to see if the small size is right for you (depending on how much you want to carry in it).

I have a Longchamp LP Neo. The monotone coloring helps keep it very minimalistic. Would recommend this too if anyone needs a large carry-all bag.
