Thank you for replying! Btw my sis cancelled her France itinerary due to COVID19 lockdown everywhere in EU :( I'm so so lucky as I ended up doing extensive research and finally able to track down this beauty.. I finally got one here from local boutique! super happy since it's my first Chanel bag :)

It's from 2017 collection, I did a bit cleaning and polishing and voila looking almost like brand new :)

I have followed this thread for a while, now I am tempted to buy one!
But I am a little bit doubt that why some Chanel boutique offer a non-magnetic black box, with a label(like a show box), some of them just offer with magnetic black box? Is this because of different region? Or only apply to specific bags?

Chanel hasn’t produced mini in caviar since 2018. For the chevron pattern, they do offer it from time to time but nobody knows exactly when until a collection is released

yes they do vary depends on each season. Sometimes they make the shape really hard and ridged. Sometimes it’s softer, depends on the leather too

When it’s soft when brand new , will it lose it shape when used ? hard will be better right ?

I own this bag in black in this size. I don’t think it’s a replacement for a square mini as it’s a more casual looking bag due to the folded sides. However, I love Using this urban companion bag. It’s my throw around Chanel bag. I only carry it crossbody, but it’s perfect for my needs. It’s so incredibly durable and worry free. It also fits a little more than my rectangular mini even with the compartments. I find myself being more careful with my caviar mini than when I wear this bag...so I love how carefree it is. I wear it when dressed up casually and with with my workout outfits. I’ve been stopped by strangers (more than a couple times)asking me where I got the bag and what season it’s from. I bought it from the rue cambon boutique. If you can get your hands on one, I highly suggest it as a casual crossbody Chanel. Yes, it’s less versatile than a mini, but it’s classic looking and worry free. It’s also less versatile than my wocs, but I can carry much more in it and it still feels so comfortable and lightweight...similar to my wocs.
