Mini Lou Camera bag or Loulou Toy bag???

I understand toy bag is a bit bigger than mini lou, but capacity is not really my concern. I'm petite so I always like small/mini bags. They both seem to be right size for me.

Hi there!

I have the Toy Lou Lou in black with that vintage/brassy looking gold hardware and just received my Mini Lou in blanc vintage (white) with gold hardware today! I absolutely love both of them and it really depends on your lifestyle, how often do you have big events? Are you looking for a grab and go, on the daily kind of bag?

Toy Lou Lou:
It's honestly such an underrated bag and is so easy to use and wear. The compartments inside the Toy Lou Lou are very practical and I appreciate the ability to neatly organize my items into the bag and know exactly where to reach to quickly grab something from the bag. The leather is also surprisingly super durable! I have owned a Chanel lambskin cardholder and really hated using it because of how easily it scratched, the durability of the Toy Lou Lou's calfskin leather, however, is amazing and easy to clean!
The only con I can really think of is that it is somewhat more of a casual looking bag because of the leather strap, I wouldn't wear it to a formal event.

Mini Lou:
I had been obsessing over this bag and went with the blanc vintage (white) with gold hardware because I already have the black Toy Lou Lou and also the Envelope Chain Wallet in Poudre with gold hardware. Although the Mini Lou is a camera style bag, making it a more casual styled bag, the Matelasse grained leather along with the chain strap allows you to wear it dressed up as well which I absolutely love. I think you're really getting your moneys worth if you go with the Mini Lou, it is 100% leather lined on the inside as well and looks stunning. Functionality wise, my absolute favourite feature of the Mini Lou is the wide opening when you unzip the bag. The con I have on this bag is that I feel it will be slightly more delicate and any damage to the tassel could potentially ruin the overall look of the bag ):

If you are currently torn between choosing colours for the Mini Lou, I think the Poudre would be a great choice!

I am also petite (156cm/5'1) and both bags drop at the perfect height on me (I use the middle hole on the Toy Lou Lou strap).

Thank you so much for such detailed comparisons! They both are great bags! I bought a red mini Lou camera and will also buy a toy Loulou when the time is right.

Great reviews and photos - so helpful. I completely agree with you about how usable the Toy Loulou is. I love how I can put my most-used cards in the front card slots and literally use one hand at checkout stands to open the bag, get the card and pay, put back and close. Way easier than having a wallet.

And many Toy owners get chain straps for evenings!
