Funny I never felt that way when I was 21, but right now I'm old enough to be your mom so maybe that's why I roll my eyes :)

I watched the beginning of SNL and saw her. So sick of her and her tongue! Obviously she doesn't think she's over-exposed. And she got good ratings for hosting the week before. But I really think a lot of that was curiousity. She's like a car accident people can't look away from.

Agreed. I remember having this conversation with my roommates in college when 2 of us turned 22 at the beginning of the year, and the other 2 over the summer.

Turning 21 was the big milestone and being a year past that and almost done with a degree and going to work as a real-life-adult was mindblowing.

I work with high schoolers and to me, they are so young, but I still remember how much I looked up to the juniors and seniors when I was younger.... it's a weird duality to hold in my head.

Miley is likely just getting an inkling of not being young forever.

When I was 20, I remember looking forward to the adulthood and "real life" that lay ahead. Of course, there was apprehension about the responsibilities, but being afraid of getting old at 20?

Now I'm 62...being afraid of getting old is totally real and understandable, not a poorly thought-out statement.

I also get where she's coming from. I agree with a previous poster that 4 years in HS felt like a lifetime, but 4 years of college was so quick! I am 23 now, and can hardly fathom that I'm not 21 anymore, or that I just graduated college not too long ago. Like, where did all that time go?? :0 maybe it's not a fear of getting old, but being freaked out about time just passing by.

No point getting riled up about Miley anymore when Kanye is over there on the crazy train. Where's Sinead with an open letter when you need one?

She looks cute in that Lil Kim costume. No to the bare tit though.
