Excellent, excellent post. If an individual takes issue with being "objectified", why in the world why would they go into the entertainment industry at all? Go to college, learn a skill, drive a desk and make a solid living.

I think she mentioned she was trying to break into acting. I'm assuming it's tough and she's taking any paying gig she can get so I get that. What I dont get is didnt she go to rehearsals? Didnt she know what the performance would entail? Did she think that Miley was paying her out of the kindness of her heart? She's entitled to feel victimised but it just comes off phony after you've been paid to do a job. It also feels much like a lot of media around Miley these days and everyone jumping on the bandwagon to mock her, that she's simply a popular target and everyone can get a few minutes of fame by attaching themselves to her.

I'm not seeing the anti-Semitism in Miley's comment either. That comment sounds circa Kelly Clarkson in her ranting against Clive Davis days. For anti-semitic rants, see: Gibson, Mel.

Miley Cyrus hits double chart number one

Wrecking Ball singer Miley Cyrus becomes the first artist this year to top the UK album and singles chart simultaneously, with release of new album Bangerz

Hannah Montana star Cyrus only scored her first ever UK number one single a little over two months ago, with We Can't Stop. Her previous highest charting album was 2010's Can't Be Tamed, which peaked at number eight.

Eminem had this week's second highest new entry in the singles chart with Berzerk.
Conor Maynard debuted at number four with R U Crazy, and The Saturdays entered at number five with Disco Love.

Chase & Status went in at number two in the albums chart with their third studio album, Brand New Machine.

Well, while I've definitely heard more blatantly racist comments before, it certainly didn't sound like she was counting being Jewish as a good thing. Her attitude in the rest of her statement implies disdain.
Anyway, there's no real reason to mention their religion to get her point across unless she just wanted to be controversial. Which she so clearly does.
Honestly, the twerking and revealing clothing doesn't bother me that much. In fact, I find it pretty trite and overdone. I just find her blatant rudeness and disrespect for people in general to be repugnant. If her mom should call her out on anything, it's that.
I can't support or stick up for anyone who thinks its cool to be irreverent and unkind.

Now Miley Cyrus makes 'anti-semitic comment' as she says she won't take advice from an 'old Jewish man' in new interview

Miley Cyrus sticking out her tongue continually was defiant enough.
Now the controversial 20-year-old has put her foot where her mouth should be by unleashing another unfiltered comment that might have her bosses twitching in their chairs.
Miley states in a new interview that people in the music industry are old and too Jewish to know what's best for her career.

Open wide: Miley Cyrus put her foot in her mouth by telling an interviewer she won't take career advice from an Jewish man; she is pictured at the NY release party for her new album Bangerz on Tuesday

Tablet reported the news that Miley had made an 'anti-Semitic slip' during the documentary.

Her racy video for We Can't Stop became the hot topic across the nation as it features spankings, twerking, weird images involving hot dogs and french fries and the singer in overtly sexual situations.
Miley indicated that she knew what she was doing the whole time and did it her way, in spite of the resistence among the older generations.
'It’s always weird when things are targeted for young people, yet they’re driven by people that are like 40 years too old,' Miley told Hunger TV.

She's doing it her way: The 20-year-old, pictured dancing with a hand glove at the MTV VMAs on August 25, believes she knows best when it comes to marketing her music

'It can’t be like this 70-year-old Jewish man that doesn’t leave his desk all day, telling me what the clubs want to hear.'
She said: 'At first, on paper, that video sounded insane. No one understood it, and I’m just like, "Let me film it and then, if it doesn’t work out, you never have to trust me again — but if it works out you have to let me drive this ship."'
The Nashville-bred twerker obviously thinks she's smarter than the powers-that-be in the music business, and admits that her wild behavior is a good marketing ploy.

What is she doing: Miley states that the more people wonder about her, the more they'll listen to her record; she's pictured performing at the iHeart Radio Music Festival Village on September 21 in Las Vegas

'At the end of the day, I want people to buy my records,' Miley said in the interview. 'The more that they’re wondering what the hell is she doing, the more they’re going to want to listen to my record.'
The newly single Miley finally opened up about her mid-September split with fiance Liam Hemsworth during her Friday appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
'I think people spend more time actually thinking about it then I really do,' Miley said. 'I just believe when a chapter is done you have to close it and start that new one.
'That's kind of where I am right now. I felt like I have so much to be thankful for at this time that my energy hasn't really been focused on that.'
She further added: 'I keep saying I'm the happiest I've ever been and that's not even a dig. That's just me because I really am genuinely happy finally with myself which I think sometimes it takes you separating yourself from someone else to really be happy with who you are.'

Miley's an entitled idiot. Prime example of someone who let the fame and money go to their head. Add practically non-existing parenting to the mix and you've got yourself one hell of an arrogant brat.
People talk about Kanye and his ego, but Miley's right up there with him. No humility or gratefulness whatsoever.

And even Kanye is smart enough not to go biting the hands that feed him.
Not a great plan to go pissing off the executives.

You nailed it. I'm over it and ready for her fame to be a thing of the past.

Nothing like a good Jews control the media trope.

lol

So there is a 5th open letter...
Miley Cyrus continues to be one of the most talked about celebrities on the planet and she is still getting open letters from some people also in the public eye.
The 20-year-old entertainer has now received her fifth open letter from Sinead O’Connor, who this time responds to a comment Miley made about asking if they are “supposed to kiss” if they decided to “make up.”
Miley also received an open letter from musician Sufjan Stevens, who decided to tell her that her song “Get It Right” contains some incorrect grammar. He did make a point of saying that it is a great song with a great message.

Sinead O’Connor’s Fifth Open Letter to Miley Cyrus

Dear Miley
I hear you’ve asked “Are we supposed to kiss?”.. when someone asked you would we ‘make up’. No, worry not.. there’s no need for kissing.. But let me state again.. You’re supposed to apologise for the mocking of any person who sought help, publicly or privately, to prevent themselves from committing suicide.
You’re also supposed to apologise for mocking people who are mistakenly or otherwise perceived to be mentally ill. Because what you did is extraordinarily dangerous as it contributes to the silences which allow suicide to flourish and also contributes to the bullying of people perceived mistakenly or otherwise to be mentally ill. That bullying causes suicides. Thats why you’re supposed to apologise. Its really very simple. People die every day because of the type of thing you did.
Its not that hard to say sorry. Doing so will save lives.
Sinead.

Sufjan Stevens’ Open Letter to Miley Cyrus

Dear Miley.
I can’t stop listening to #GetItRight (great song, great message, great body), but maybe you need a quick grammar lesson. One particular line causes concern: “I been laying in this bed all night long.” Miley, technically speaking, you’ve been LYING, not LAYING, an irregular verb form that should only be used when there’s an object, i.e. “I been laying my tired booty on this bed all night long.” Whatever. I’m not the best lyricist, but you know what I mean. #Get It Right The Next Time. But don’t worry, even Faulkner messed it up. We all make mistakes, and surely this isn’t your worst misdemeanor. But also, Miley, did you know the tense here is also totally wrong. Surely you’ve heard of Present Perfect Continuous Tense (I HAVE BEEN LYING in this bed all night long [hopefully getting some beauty sleep?]). It’s a weird, equivocal, almost purgatorial tense, not quite present, not quite past, not quite here, not quite there. Somewhere in between. I feel that way all the time. It kind of sucks. But I have a feeling your “present perfect continuous” involves a lot more excitement than mine. Anyway, doesn’t that also sum up your career right now? Present. Perfect. Continuous. And Tense. Intense? Girl, you work it like Mike Tyson. Miley, I love you because you’re the Queen, grammatically and anatomically speaking. And you’re the hottest cake in the pan. Don’t ever grow old. Live brightly before your fire fades into total darkness.
XXOO Sufjan
