I just find it so odd that cigarettes which has been proven to turn your lungs black and give you cancer is legal, but marijuana which does nothing but mellows a person out and increases their appetite isn't... that's the Gubbament for y'all...

A substance other than food intended to affect the structure or function of the body is a drug.
So yeah, unless you're eating that marijuana for its nutritional value it's still a drug. It doesn't have to be fatal or harmful to be a drug. Caffeine is a drug. So is nicotine which also comes from a plant.
Poison Ivy gives you a rash whenever you come into contact with it... is that too a drug???...
And you can still get high on weed by eating it, especially if it's been cooked... that's what it naturally does...
I just don't see as a drug if that's what it natural function is intended for...
That's the definition. I didn't make it up. I just took it right out of the dictionary. And you don't ingest poison ivy on purpose to effect a change in your body.

Yeah, but the body does have a negative side effect to it.... I just don't classify marijuana as a drug... no matter what the definition is...

And it doesn't have to have a "negative" effect to be considered a drug. Many things that are meant to help people are also considered a drug. Acetaminophen, Benadryl, any kind of antibiotics- all drugs. And I'm pretty sure most are also derived from plants originally. Penicillin is derived from a fungi.
Totally agree. Marijuana is a drug plain and simple. If people choose to ignore that FACT then that's their choice, however it's a drug nonetheless.

Well, those who don't are just plain wrong. This is just a fact. Marijuana is a drug. Whether its a good or bad drug, or harmful or not harmful that's all a matter of opinion, but it is indeed a drug, by definition.
If you choose to refuse to accept it that's your thing.

Poison ivy doesn't alter your mental state though. Weed does. That doesn't mean it's "good" or "bad" or whatever, it is what it is. It alters your mental state.
The people who use it don't classify it as a drug bc it's convenient...lol!! It's still classified as a drug by everyone else and it's also legally deemed as being a drug so, yep, it is. I can't imagine anyone in their right mind advocating a mind altering substance to anyone which is exactly what Miley is doing. So tacky.
