I disagree... marijuana is a plant... not chemically enhanced like PCP, Ecstasy(Molly), or Coccaine...
A substance other than food intended to affect the structure or function of the body is a drug.
So yeah, unless you're eating that marijuana for its nutritional value it's still a drug. It doesn't have to be fatal or harmful to be a drug. Caffeine is a drug. So is nicotine which also comes from a plant.
That's the definition. I didn't make it up. I just took it right out of the dictionary. And you don't ingest poison ivy on purpose to effect a change in your body.
You can disagree with it if you choose, but it's still considered a drug, by definition.
Yeah, but the body does have a negative side effect to it.... I just don't classify marijuana as a drug... no matter what the definition is...
Anything taken to alter your mental/physical state is a drug. Even if it starts as a plant, lol!
Well, you're entitled, but everyone else does classify it as a drug.
And it doesn't have to have a "negative" effect to be considered a drug. Many things that are meant to help people are also considered a drug. Acetaminophen, Benadryl, any kind of antibiotics- all drugs. And I'm pretty sure most are also derived from plants originally. Penicillin is derived from a fungi.
Not really... there are people who classify it as a drug... and there are people who don't...
Poison Ivy gives you a rash whenever you come into contact with it... is that too a drug???...
