The leather on the Hamilton is different to give it a bit of structure, but like all the other bags, it does soften a bit after some use.

Your bag is so cute...that's such a beautiful shade of blue. :cloud9:

yes i agree you don't see many Astors around, i see a few MK bags, Not sure what style's they are, But i recognize the circular MK circle name tag hanging.
This is the pic that sold me on my black/gold astor tote. I didn't recognize that it was the American idol runner up kate Mcphee..But I knew I loved the bag!

My satchel is to small..it is now my gym bag..LOL! i carry a little water bottle a little umbrella,ipod and keys and money and sunglasses and it gets used 5 days a week (well not always) But it actually gets used now...Good suggestion for anyone who has a bag and they dont use it...at least I'm getting my money's worth out of it this way.

I am not familiar with MK retail structure...but, at the MK outlet they have Micheal by Michael Kors bags...are these the same quality as the ones in the Michael Kors full price boutique?

Or, do they make those bags specifically for the outet??

I'm confused...does anyone know?

I haven't been to an MK outlet, but I do know that they sell Michael by Michael Kors at the Michaels Kors full price store as well as places like Macys. I don't know if they make additional products just for the outlet. Good question.

^^ I saw several variations of the Astor at the MK outlet today...I wasn't dazzled by the quality (the leather was thin and stiff) so I was HOPING that they were "outlet" versions.

I'll be going to the MK boutique next weekend so I'll compare the quality.

Thanks for your repy Sandc...maybe someone else with more MK experience will chime in! ;)

We have an outlet about 1/2 hour from my house and I have been in there....I have seen alot of what I think are boutique deletes.....they did have the braided grommet bag, totes, certain sunglasses, wallets, etc. I havent bought anything in there as of yet so I do not know the quality. I hope someone can help!!!

just at the outlets a few days ago and saw LOTS of totes with the circle charm.....braided grommet bags but no luggage color (which is what I wanted), some patent leather bags, swingpacks, lots of new wallets, the chain link hobo in all colors, and I cant remember what else. I was pretty impressed! The prices were pretty good, too!!!

Have you checked Macys? I saw a luggage color of that that bag at Macys today. 50% off.

Stay away from monogram bags online and even the outlets. I remember fake Coach bags being found in outlets thanks to scammers who buy the real ones and return fake ones. There are a lot of MK fakes out there.
