There isn't anything sly about it. They are quite upfront. They don't operate two separate sites. If it's "Michael Michael Kors" in the description then it's not "Michael Kors Collection". The best way to avoid it is to shop at an actual boutique.

If you were to Google "Michael Kors Outlet" the link takes you directly to their 'sale' page which contains all the items you have posted under the "Michael Michael Kors" description. The price point will always be the giveaway regardless. Nothing but SLGs start under $200 in the collection pieces.

So how do you tell if you're buying an outlet bag? Is it just a crap shoot sort of deal? You get what you get, shut up & be happy about it. Outlet bags are not the same quality. I live in a very rural area & don't have a store anywhere near me to look for myself. I would if I had the opportunity. I was just shocked that they don't tell you that you might be buying an outlet version.

Definitely not a dice roll. If you purchase a bag from their site and it says "Michael Michael Kors" it is not part of the Michael Kors Collection which are higher-end bags.

I haven't had any issues with any of the bags I've gotten from their site....MMK or MKC. Good luck to you!

Below is a screenshot from the Michael Kors website. If you want to make sure you're getting a Collection bag there are three ways.

Click on the Collection, which gives a drop down menu that includes Handbags as an option.

Click on Handbags, which gives a drop down menu that includes Michael Kors Collection as an option.

Click on Sale, which gives a drop down menu that includes Michael Kors Collection as an option.

As Voodoo mentioned, the original price is also a dead give away. It's not "You get what you get, shut up & be happy about it." It's you get what you pay for. If you get a bag and aren't happy with the quality, you return it.

This thread was not about MK Collection bags. I do know the difference between them and have not purchased any MMK bag thinking it was a MK Collection bag. It is about outlet bags being sold on the MK website and knowing the difference between MMK outlet bags and MMK retail bags. MK has made changes to the heat stamp on the inside zipper pockets of MMK outlet and MMK retail bags, they no longer say Michael Michael Kors, they just say Michael Kors. I have had some people (secondary market) think that they have a collection bag because it only says Michael Kors on the redesigned retail department store heat stamps. I am so sorry for any confusion.
