Quality control-wise with B.M., you're not missing much. B. Makowsky's leather is very inconsistent in feel, thickness, etc. as I've noticed. He generally produces leather that is exceptionally luxe for the 200-300 dollar price range, but the leather fluctuates in feel more than any brand that I've tried, even from the same batch. I have the Eden in olive green, for example, and it is the most luxurious-feeling of all the Makowskys that I've come across that are made (or supposed to be made) of the same kind of leather and it also feels different than many others in the same or different color. It actually can be quite hard to find two bags of the same style and color to be similar enough to each other in leather.
MK is so much more consistent.
