I have a new Michael Kors handheld bag. Love the soft, fairly smooshy leather and it just feels great in my hand! The fact that I got it on a sale on a sale helps with the price!

hi all!
the bag arrived...the leather is supple and strong and smells amazing! i love the hardware...if i saw this bag in a store it would definitely catch my eye...the only thing i'm now having (buyer's remorse!?!) is the price tag...i love the bag but now i'm thinking "some people pay RENT that cost less than this bag"...yet, since i've been loving and collecting bags since i got my first one at age 11 (i'm 49 now)...my "standards" about bags are much higher every year...do any of you ever feel this way? also, instead of getting 3 or 4 bags a year for 4-500 dollars, this would be the only bag i'd get this year...any thoughts?

great...now i'm having a panic attack since it's the last bag i'm getting for a YEAR and wondering do i keep this or get the bbag?!?!?!!? i love this bag but the thought of not getting another bag for a year....???? help!!!

I am confused cause isnt a b bag about the same price, over a grand? so if you are worried about not getting another bag for a year,,,doesnt b bbag put you in the same position??
my feelings is that Michael Kors is a great designer and under rated and peeople think it is overpriced because it isnt as popular as Balenciaga but i think balenciaga is sort of played out i mean i love the bright colors but they are everywhere, they are faked and for me personally the shiny leather looks kinda cheap to me, i know ive heard its SO soft and amazing but it looks kinda cheap
and ive heard they wear pretty fast....

I have the Astor Overnighter in Luggage, and love it. I use it very frequently and it holds up well, as I expect your new one will too.
As for keeping yours or not, on the plus side it's a very classic but modern style. It's not stuffy, but isn't an IT bag that will be passe before you've finished breakfast. On the other side, it is very expensive! I didn't realise his M by MK went for so much.. I guess overall it depends upon what you want from the bag. If you can see yourself keeping it forever without tiring of it, then definitely keep it. The bag will be worth the price. However if you think you'll only get that bad "ohhhh I spent too much" feeling whenever you look at it, then there's not enough love to justify keeping it.
Myself? I could justify that much on a BBag easier than I could MbyMK.
