I have loads to say re: MK (+ Coach) marketing approach and oversaturating! But let's discuss later. Over the years, I have fallen for a few MKC bags and online, I do see them going on sale at Nordstrom or wherever. I always have to keep in mind, import duty, our local taxes, shipping and exchange rate - ugh! Eats up all the savings.


Right now, the good news is that MK sells his bags at USA msrp but since our CDN dollar is so low, it works out as a better deal full msrp in Canada given the exchange rate. Secondly, MK used to mark up his bags in Canada by $50 but no more; so that's an improvement for me.


Today was more "fun" because the SA was more honest with me! He said to be quick like a bunny with my decision making because there are no more than 10 in Canada and they only had 1 or 2 in stock! There are 3 MK boutiques nearby including the one I visited. However, I don't think Holt Renfrew will get this bag - not according to today's SA. He said it was a boutique exclusive. Holts got lots of Casey bags though and some went on sale. Who knows but I don't feel quite so rushed now.

On, I didn't realize you were in Canada. Canada is the ONLY foreign country I will ship to from my ebay store. I LOVE Canadians! lol! Know quite a few of them from my summer home on the border. We have so much fun with them. Many of them ride Harleys into my area up there all the time. They are such a hoot! I suppose the handbag situation is completely different there. I have no clue. Hope you find great deals on everything you want!!

I think I saw the dark emerald version before - I love certain shades of green.

Btw, can you help me name this MKC bag from last year? I only ever wanted the regular leather version because I don't kid myself that I'm ever going to buy real croc or real alligator leather (which is fine, I'm happy with croc embossed leather anyway) but I forget the name of this bag. Was it Jackie? I know it got marked down on MK website but...too many bags on my wish list as per usual LOL

It came in two great colours in leather - one would've been similar to Elephant. Pictured here is the croc version:

I'm veering off topic sort of but...still Michael Kors Collection...Julia large Top Handle! Yea, I wanted this last year - they were marked down and available for quite awhile on website...sigh...can't have 'em all :graucho:

Yes, that's the Julie. They're ok, but the silver hardware doesn't look the best with those colors, IMO. I like the one in Luggage color. Hope the hardware is more brilliant. It looks kind if flat, almost like a stainless steel?? Maybe it's just the photos? But the leather is great!

Fall 2015 MKC handbag. This one arrives next week and they will phone me. Still leaning towards the Rogers satchel in elephant with palladium hw. They told me the name of this new FW 2015 bag but I forgot already[emoji53]

I googled MKC Gracie - sure looks like it except croc embossed, of course. I got excited when SA said it was slightly bigger than the "med" Rogers satchel.

In the end, I think my heart is set on the Rogers...I like the contrast top stitching, elephant pebbled leather and palladium hardware combo. MK usually does a lot of gold hw. The croc embossed Gracie has gold hw - SA already told me this.

I've been researching and the Rogers satchel is in short supply, no lie. Holts no longer carries MKC handbags and Oakridge MK boutique won't get any Rogers bags - I went in and asked. I have a lot premier designer bags in my collection but none by MK. I have to weigh out how badly I want THIS bag versus how I feel (value) the brand name. There's just so much out there - Wish List is always LONG :laugh:

Hey! I love your chilli red MK bag. The chilli red was never sold in Canada but I have the same bag in navy blue. Actually, I forget the name of this bag but I've been carrying her for awhile. I'm enjoying the smaller compact size. Usually I carry large or oversized bags.

Thank you!!! I actually never saw the navy in stores but loved the online pics. The Colette is a great bag. I just love all the pockets and details......:smile1:
