I know the softer leather bags are much more comfortable to wear as they conform with your silhouette. This bag is well structured and has good form and shape. I am sure it will hold up really well. I will look around. Who knows, it just might be available at my local macy's. This is a really sharp bag! I just noticed the detailed contrast white stitching too! Don't see a lot of that. Nice! Thanks for showing it to me , I think! lol! Not sure how overjoyed my husband will be.

Do some Macys carry collection bags? THis is one HOT bag!!!

It's got an outside slip pocket but won't carry much...it's flat.

A flat exterior pocket is fine by me. I use them for my cellphone. It doesn't need to be a big & roomy pocket. Thanks for the pics. It helps a lot. only 8 for the US doesn't sound right to me either. Sounds like this bag is going to be a limited edition, tho.

Oh I suppose MK is trying a new strategy (like Coach) by making limited stock so as to sell full msrp? I have never bought higher end Michael Kors bags much like I've never caved for higher end Marc Jacobs (made in Italy) handbags but I have their less expensive collections. It would be great to get this on sale but with only 4 in Canada (yes, I can believe this for Canada; we get limited everything) so maybe they've got me! The SA did a quick check for me because I asked if she had 2 (she came back and said: there's 1 in Vancouver, 1 in Toronto...forgot about the other 2 cities, not sure what she said).

But in the US? Hmmm? Somebody should ask MK - I'd love to know.

MK makes fewer Michael Kors Collection bags than his every day line, but there would certainly be more than 8 available in the entire USA! It is possible in the USA to get MKC bags on sale. The best deals I've seen are roughly 50% off, which is what I paid for my large Miranda totes. However, to get that type of deal, you'll have to stalk the sales all season and get really lucky to catch an end-of-season sale when the bag is still in stock.

You really gotta try at least one of his luxury bags from the MICHAEL Kors Collection. I have two of them and I can see a huge difference in the quality between the two lines. I actually think that MK starting the MICHAEL Michael Kors line, will be his demise. While they are beautiful bags that everyone can afford, it affects his reputation for quality, as the MMK line is not near the quality of the MK Collection. We constantly see all the complaints for defects on bags from the MMK line. You don't see this on his higher end bags.

The same thing happened to Coach when they opened up their outlet stores and began making lower quality bags for the outlets. These designers need to stick to what made them famous in the first place, and that is the quality. Hope you ever get one. You will be hooked! I am looking for more as we speak. This bag is the only one that really meets all of my specs so far. I am not sure why the OP stated their are only 8 of them in the whole United States! Hoping Ubo is correct and this is not the case!

I agree. You can find them on sale but you have to become a MK stalker to find them! It also helps to be in good with a SA at the MK boutique to get a heads up on when the sale will hit and be ready to go get it. In ATL, we have a MK boutique at Lennox that sells the MKC line.

I don't get to the MK boutique too often, so have to rely on the online sales. But I know there are always great sales in store for those who can get in there! :smile1:

Sharing some sbs comparison pics[emoji7]
The MKC Rogers and Lexi are both "elephant" but different leather takes on dye differently. All in the same colour family like my Chloe Marcie in "ash". Now I want this Lexi too but I've got to say to myself: focus, just focus [emoji2]

I agree with you 100% - you don't have to twist this girl's arm LOL
I have loads to say re: MK (+ Coach) marketing approach and oversaturating! But let's discuss later. Over the years, I have fallen for a few MKC bags and online, I do see them going on sale at Nordstrom or wherever. I always have to keep in mind, import duty, our local taxes, shipping and exchange rate - ugh! Eats up all the savings.

Right now, the good news is that MK sells his bags at USA msrp but since our CDN dollar is so low, it works out as a better deal full msrp in Canada given the exchange rate. Secondly, MK used to mark up his bags in Canada by $50 but no more; so that's an improvement for me.

Today was more "fun" because the SA was more honest with me! He said to be quick like a bunny with my decision making because there are no more than 10 in Canada and they only had 1 or 2 in stock! There are 3 MK boutiques nearby including the one I visited. However, I don't think Holt Renfrew will get this bag - not according to today's SA. He said it was a boutique exclusive. Holts got lots of Casey bags though and some went on sale. Who knows but I don't feel quite so rushed now.
