Awwwww, Mrs. Mac...don't stress out!! Whatever you decide to do, your bag will survive. The leather protector is made for exactly that.....to protect the leather from the elements and all sorts of other parts of living. I just didn't feel I needed it. I will admit, if I hadn't stated this earlier, but I think the bag darkened a bit since I got it, sort of like a "patina". To all those who posted pictures.....great bags, one and all!!! I truly think we do need a MK subforum because these bags truly are worth it.

ITA about the subforum!!!! I'll keep you posted on what I decide to do....right now I think I am leaving it alone.....for now....

I think I enjoy your posts more than any. You are so passionate about your MK.

Yes, they smell wonderful. Just enjoy and send us some pics!

I am going to FNO tonight at Neimans. I will take some pics of the MKs on their shelves so we can enjoy looking at them. ;)

I agree! I love MrsMacs's MK posts!

just got an email back from Michael Kors regarding pre-treating his leather bags....the CS rep told me that they do not suggest we pre-treat our leather bags b/c they are already treated and by doing this we can cause their treatment to dissolve. She also said by using the conditioner it may reduce the water resistant properties of the leather......OMG!!!!! NOW what do I do??? I am seriously thinking of just letting nature be right now, and if the leather starts to dry out then I will treat it. She also said we can take our bags to a dry cleaner that specialized in leather cleaning if something happens. what a help, right????? and why do they sell this stuff in the boutique if it is not suggested we use it??? UGHH

Aww Mrs. Mac, Don't worry! I am sure your bag will be fine for many years to come. I wouldn't worry. I had a feeling they pre-treated their bags. Most of the designer companies do. Ironically, it's the premier designers that don't!!!!! Get what you pay for?! Anyway, KZ said she pretreats all her bags and has not had a problem and you wont either. Enjoy your beautiful new bag!!!:flowers:

Here are some hastily taken pictures. The first one is with a flash and the others are in natural day light. Really, there isn't a mark on this bag. I just make sure that I'm not caught in a downpour when I'm carrying it. I know that's totally unavoidable, but I just tend to baby my poor bags. If I am not mistaken, the leather on this bag, since it is 5 years old or so now may be a bit different from today's model. I did see some astor bags at Dillards the other day and the leather was quite different, although the style was the same. Whatever you do, you'll make a great decision and you'll have a great bag!
I know this is a really old thread but I was just thinking about this bag. I used to have one. I'd seen someone carrying one and asked her what it was. I went and bought it at Nordies (FP, rare for me). That was back in the days when if you had any problem with a bag after using it, they'd give you a refund. I had some problem (maybe a stud came off) and brought it back. It was a nice bag with the outside pockets and the lovely luggage color, silver HW. It would probably still look fine to carry today. Do you still have yours?

Sadly, I sold it, but got darned near original price because they just dont make them like they used to. I kinda want it back! Hope you are well!

I had a momentary urge to maybe try to buy another one. Looked on ebay and don't see any right now.
When I bought that bag I guess it was in the early days of TPF. I didn't know anything about resellers. I went online after paying FP and looked for the bag to see what it was selling for elsewhere. I found someone on ebay who had multiples she was selling at a discount. Really annoyed me. I couldn't understand where she was getting them. It was a current bag - not something you'd get at an outlet. I guess she had a source.
