That's the problem I'm having too...my wrist is pretty small and I just got the new Rose Gold Chronograph and it seems TOO big...even the links are really wide....here's a pic (sorry it's fuzzy) but I love the color so much I am not sure what to do!

Hi purseinsanity - we're watch twins! I just took mine to a local jeweller and had a couple links removed and it's perfect now. Keep it! It's a great watch - I get tons of compliments.

Hi Pandora 15 - good choice, IMHO! But do shop around...I got mine on evil bay for $142!

When I was shopping for one, I went to a bunch of stores and tried on MK and Fossil (same parent company). Wasn't sure how long this big watch trend was going to last, so didn't want to invest a huge amount of $$. MK quality is definitely better...the strap is stainless steel and not semi-plastic like the Fossil ones.

I got the rose gold as it seemed to "blend" more with skin tones and not stand out so shockingly against the wrist like yellow. But it's totally personal preference.

I've worn mine every day for about the past 8 months and so far no fading. But I have noticed the metal darkening in between the links...kinda almost going purple (??)...see pic (and ignore the horrid state of my nails...doing a mani tonight! :p). But you can't see this discoloration when the watch is on.

Good luck with shopping around!

Do not get gold or rose gold. I have had a very poor experience with both. Bought rose gold initially at Belk and within a couple of days it had worn away noticeably on the back of the watch. I returned the watch and got yellow gold instead. Within a week I had the same problem. I was only wearing the watch to work and not doing a whole lot with my hands besides sitting at the computer. It looked terrible, and I am not used to seeing that kind of wear on such a new watch. It was especially bad between the links. I finally returned that watch as well.

Recently I decided to try again as I am such an MK fan (clothes, jewelry, shoes, bags, everything MK). I went with a dual tone style this time during the sale at Nordstrom, with crystals around the bezel. Gold portions of the watch have held up remarkably well even though I have been wearing it almost every day for a good month now. I highly recommend this option as I am a gold jewelry person and all my other jewelry is gold so I understand where you're coming from. I have had no problems stacking this with gold bracelets and I only wear gold rings also. The watch looks great.

Go with dual tone, you will be glad you did!

I have this watch and I adore it. The gold-ish edition is stylish and great for both casual and evening wear. I got mine 6+ months ago and wear it 4 days a week and it looks fine. Brand new and no fading. I dropped it and knocked around quite a bit but its fine. Its a great staple!

sorry to bump such an old thread but i found it when searching for rose gold watches... i dunno why but lately i have OBSESSED with rose gold watches and i'm thinking of the Michael Kors Darci http://www.bestrosegoldwatches.com/michael-kors-rose-gold-watch/
or maybe the slim runway.. not sure

but what I want to know is, are rose gold watches played out? Are they "out" and considered dated? Or can they be a classic... I don't want to get something dated and look like a fashion victim stuck in 2012... lol halp!

I recently researched watches for like, a YEAR before finally pulling the trigger lol. My budget was smaller than most (£400 tops) but I knew I wanted a sporty, two tone, men's size watch. However the more I learnt about watches, the more of a watch snob I became lol. So for that reason the MK watches just seem SOOO overpriced to me for what they actually are. I'm not just talking about the movements (does anyone know the movements they use in their watches?) but the fact that they have such thin gold plating that it seems to rub off.

MK is a fashion brand, not a watch maker or jeweller, so I think you pay way too much for the name. Watches for a tenner off eBay may well have exactly the same movements and same thickness of gold plating as the MK ones, I've not read anything on their websites that can clarify otherwise.

The watch I ended up going for has a Swiss automatic movement, is solid stainless steel with gold plating, has diamond markers and was £300 which, when compared with all the unknowns from MK seems a bargain!

So yeah, if you literally can't find anything you like more then definitely shop around for the cheapest price. Because as far as I can tell, the $$$ just buys you the name and no other certainties about the quality.

Just noticed this is OOOOOLD lol. What did you go for?? :D
