I know there is thread about his passing last year but I thought that he deserves another discussion thread. So, talk about your favourite songs, videos, memories, etc. I knoe that his music will live forever. I can not believe that it has been almost a year since he passed away. I still tear up whenever I hear his music or see his videos.
Carry on the discussion.
Oh, just have to add- this is a thread to remember the good. So please.. no negative comments.

I can not believe that it has almost been a year. My ringtones on my phone are all MJ and Jackson Five songs! My favorite MJ song would have to be "Butterflies" . My Mom is 76 and she is also a MJ fan. I can remember where I was when I heard the news that he had passed. He will always be my favorite singer:smile1:

I know! I remember exactly what I was doing when I heard the news.. it's like it was just yesterday. I was sitting in my room on my computer, logged onto Facebook and all my friends' statuses were about how he had just died and I freaked out. So I went to our local newspaper's website and it was front page news, so I ran down to tell my mom.. but she had already heard it on the radio and was in total shock. I think MJ was probably the most legendary musician/dancer/person to have ever lived. My favourite song ever is Man in the Mirror.

He passed away while I was watching that horrible last Transformers movie. My Fiance and I had our phones off, since we had been at the movies. I found out when I turned my cell on and had a bunch of RIP MJ. I called my Mom and she confirmed it. Living in Southern California there is a lot of love for MJ. The funny thing is that every radio station was playing MJ songs from the classic rock station to the Spanish stations the day he passed away. His talent and music touched so many people.

I will never forget when I heard the news. I had just put the kids to sleep. We were in Greece at the time and it was late at night. I was almost asleep myself when my DH woke me and told me. At first I thought "what? you can't be serious??!!!" We immediately got online and read the news. We then spent all night watching his videos on YouTube. I had a MAJOR crush on him when I was in first grade in 1983. I even had the Michael Jackson doll with the glove and the microphone. I have so many favorite songs it is hard to pick! Man in the Mirror and Heal the World are two of my favorites.

LOL. I was jamming to Billie Jean in my car the other day, stereo on full blast.

Michael set the bar so high. Very few current musicians will ever come close to touching him, he really was the best.
