Hi Mswaldorf,

The only thing Im looking forward to at the moment which makes me really excited is THIS IS IT. I mean, Michael was a VISION and PHENOMENON on stage but if you watch his rehearsals and behind the scenes in Youtube, particularly the Dangerous Tour Rehearsas and The Making of Ghosts---it is so amazing to watch him at work. He is really such a master at his craft and being the captain of the ship, he commands everyone without raising his voice and he calls attention to mistakes without offense. Watching him work is a great learning experience for anyone and everyone, you can really feel the passion he has for his work, even if he's been doing it since he was 5. Its jawdropping-

Judging from the clips and the responses of people who got to see short snippets of the movie like Oprah, the concert movie would really blow everyone away.

NEW THIS IS IT CLIP shown on OPRAH:
MIKE SHOWS THIS IS IT DANCERS HOW TO DO IT
(Bad and They dont care about us routine)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7GrmJrtsME

Oprah was teary eyed when she said, "Ive never seen anything like this in my life" referring to the 15-minute THIS IS IT footage shown to her by the Sony Men In Black people who brought and played the 15-minute DVD for her alone in a room and after they finished, the Men In Black took the DVD with them and went. Its being kept under tough security to ensure no leakage or pirated DVD will be made before the movie is shown. She was emotional talking about what a great loss Mike is and that she hadnt watched a movie for sometime but she will definitely GO on the 28th to watch This Is It.

The thing is Oprah was like A LOT of people who thought initially that MJ was overrated UNTIL THEY SEE HIM perform and JUST LIKE THAT, they GET IT. They get WHO MIKE IS and HOW PHENOMENAL he is as a master of song and dance. That is why the WHOLE WORLD should watch This is it so they will GET IT, they will GET why Mike was as big as he is---gosh I really hope THE WORLD watches this so that people will see what a genius he really is and they too WILL GET IT.

Imagine, just watching Mike for 15-minutes made Oprah a Michaelholic? lolz:love:

And Yes, THIS IS IT will be issued on DVD and Blu-Ray according to Sony. Its due out on 2010, I read they are adding 3D in it, so the video may come with 3D glasses (crossing my fingers).

Michael Jackson film scores sellouts galore before opening :yahoo:

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Advance sales for "This Is It" look set to make the concert movie starring the late Michael Jackson into one of the hottest tickets of the year.

Two weeks ahead of its opening, the singer's concert movie "This Is It" has generated more than 1,600 sold out U.S. show times and is the top seller this week at two major online ticket outlets.

That puts "This Is It" in the same territory as next month's highly anticipated "Twilight" sequel "New Moon" and other films that have generated high pre-release sales.

"The pre-sales activity all over the world has been nothing short of extraordinary," Steve Elzer, a spokesman for Sony Corp-owned Columbia Pictures, the studio behind the film, told Reuters.

"But exhibitors have really met the demand by adding screens, and tickets are available for anyone who would want to see it, anytime," Elzer said.

"This Is It" is composed of footage of the "Thriller" singer rehearsing for a series of London comeback concerts just before his unexpected June 25 death, at age 50, from an overdose of powerful medication.

The studio has said the 112-minute movie will have a limited two-week engagement around the world, starting October 28.

Online ticket seller Fandango.com reported that it has sold out more than 1,000 showtimes in the United States for "This Is It" on its site alone. Competing outlet MovieTickets.com said it has generated more than 600 sold out showtimes.

"This Is It" has generated the second highest pre-sales figures of the year for Fandango, just behind forthcoming vampire romance "New Moon," which saw tickets go on sale a month before advance tickets for "This Is It" became available.

Both Fandango and MovieTickets, the two top U.S. online ticket sellers, said "This Is It" is on-pace to become their top concert movie ever.

For now, the 2008 film "Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour" is the biggest concert movie ever for the online ticket sellers. It made more than $70.6 million at worldwide box offices but played in fewer than 700 U.S. theaters.

Sony Pictures, which paid $60 million for the footage of Jackson in the film, is aiming to outpace the "Hannah Montana" movie, as "This Is It" is expected to play on about 3,500 screens in the U.S. and Canada alone.

Aside from that, Sony plans to ship more than 8,500 prints of the film to exhibitors in 75 countries, for a near simultaneous worldwide release of the film.

Sony said last month that international sales for "This Is It" have been particularly strong in Japan and Britain.

Jackson was scheduled to play 50 shows in London starting last July 13. Concert promoter AEG Live was involved in the deal to sell its rehearsal footage to Columbia for the movie, which also benefits Jackson's estate and his family.

poshgal .. there is also a memorial thread somewhere on here .. as this one got a little "heated" at times.

Still very sad.

MissFashion .. they said in the newspapers here that the film was only on release for 2 weeks in the cinema, as it is coming out on DVD in time for Xmas.

Guys, Ive been away from TPF for about 3 months now...and I logged in today and couldnt believe there is a thread here about MJ.

Yes I've been MOURNING since June 25th--I cant believe he's gone. Still cant---and his death is the only thing that has KEPT ME from getting any new bags which is another addiction of mine.

How can someone so incredible and amazing and such an overall fantastic human being be gone when the whole world still needs him---*sigh*

Sorry I had to vent--I miss him so much!

AUTOPSY SUMMARY: RELEASED october 1

michael jackson was healthy
he weighed 136 lbs which is average for his height
he had a healthy heart
he had a healthy kidney
he had a healthy liver
he had a healthy brain
he had a healthy reproductive system (sperm count is healthy)
no trace of pills in his body
no pain medications (no demerol, no morphine) in his body
(They examined his brain which means you can trace even medications taken 4-6 weeks prior to autopsy!)
no alcohol in his blood

THE ONLY MEDICATIONS FOUND in his body were those administered by murray for insomnia which are anti-anxiety medications and sedatives normally used in conjunction with propofol (And Murray admitted to giving those to him with complete timeline)

Give me a name of a "junkie" that had a healthy liver, healthy kidney and healthy heart if you can find one. Drugs and Overmedication will toast your heart, kidney and liver in a very short time. Notice that after this autopsy report was released, everyone in the media who accused him of being a junkie has now shut up and wont report it. Im so p-i-ss-ed at tabloidism masquerading as journalism when it comes to Michael Jackson.

isnt that something and the media made it seem like his whole diet was drugs.

this is definitely neglect/murder

^ Jahpson exactly. I have a hard time watching "news" now because everytime I watch, at the back of my mind I'm like thinking "How can I expect these people to report the truth when they LIED so much about Michael in life and in death..."

The media came up with all this druggie stories from 3 monkeys who sold MJ the day he died---Deepak Chopra, Uri Geller and this Shmuley Boteach. You never see these 3 together on TV but curiously, they sing the SAME tune selling their stories to the media. Well, there's no mystery anymore because look what these 3 have been doing since forever:

So now we know what these 3 people are doing all over the news selling Michael Jackson out, they apparently have a deeper "brotherhood" based on money-making endeavours.

So its not at all coincidental they are SINGING THE SAME TUNE all over the news. They apparently have reason to cover each other's backs. Here's another one: (WOW, Seems Shmuley and Chopra are BEST FRIENDS AFTER ALL.)

Interestingly, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach is BANNED from having a pulpit in UK because of 2 complaints of malversation of Charity funds. Boteach partnered with Michael to build HEAL THE KIDS foundation but the partnership fell apart because Boteach apparently "pocketed" more than $200,000 of charity donations which showed up in his housewife's IRS declaration. Michael Jackson severed ties with him after he found out where the money went. And why wouldnt he? old habits die hard- :lecture:

Murray has 7 children by 6 different mothers and he has been sued at least thrice since the 1990's for domestic violence and failure to give child support payments. His recent baby-mama sued him a few months ago and he hasnt settled the payments up to now---IRRESPONSIBLE FATHER and IRRESPONSIBLE DOCTOR .

His victim did not have to be MJ to produce that kind of death. The propofol dose he gave MJ was enough to kill even a damn elephant! :censor:

Michael's personal chef said he ate well, usually grilled chicken and veggies with corn. And the whole family only eats organic stuff including his children. If you look at him during the Dangerous Tour, its the same built he has in This is It---his dancing form. This I believe is to give "allowance" for his heavy jackets and costumes which for This is It was to be adorned with none other than the famous SWAROVSKI crystal brand. Even his boots are adorned with swarovskis so the costumes are very heavy.

Poshgal78: I think MJ was sold out by family, friend & foe long ago. The only thing to comfort us in grief is the fact that he touched many lives in a positive way through his music and THAT is what those of us who will miss him must concentrate on. If we persist, that will be a part of his legacy that "they" can't diminish.

^Yup, so true. Lies can be dragged a mile but TRUTH always run marathons.

The TRUTH is that Michael Jackson is A MUSICAL GENIUS who SINGLE-HANDEDLY changed musical history for the better and was nothing but a great blessing to everyone he came in contact with---period. He was a GREAT blessing to the world.

Just as his musical genius can never be equalled nor surpassed, his humanitarian efforts are also unparalleled yet he never made a fuss over that. The day he died, the world came to know many things he did for others including his unwavering support to about 50+ charities and the $350 Million he donated to different causes he supported. I was so shocked when I learned he donated ALL of his Victory Tour earnings and Dangerous Tour earnings to charity. That's blood, sweat and tears over 130+ concerts all in all!

With all of his 200+ awards, his fame and his fortune, he remained so humble and grounded. Michael is the A in A-LIST-- The biggest stars, presidents, real kings and queens get starstrucked by him. Despite his stature, you never ever see him snob anyone even when he is always being mobbed which must hurt physically-- anyone that says Hi to him, he greets back. He is such a respectful and patient person.

Now you have D-LISTERS that have what? 5 FANS and they have the audacity to snob and sneer at people

this is so true poshgal78 i agree with you on all aspects
MJ was phenomenal and for a lot of us he was an Angel who always gave and gave- of his music of his time of his love- we will never see another one like him. a lot of people/stars are soo jealous of him- of his talent of his genius and of his stature as the biggest star and greatest performer of our time but all this has kept him grounded and humble
thank you for sharing:love:

This is a funny and entertaining documentary which was released in 2007 I think:

THE FABULOUS LIFE OF MICHAEL JACKSON Part 1

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppQ7TRCG7NU

THE FABULOUS LIFE OF MICHAEL JACKSON Part 2

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7SkOX38oUIY

Personally, I would love to think Michael enjoyed his money--he deserved it. He has been working since he was 5 YEARS OLD! However, knowing Michael--most of the toys he bought are for giving away. His road manager in the Bad Tour said that Michael would go in the toy stores at night after his concerts and he would buy 10 of each toy, like battery operated robots, dolls and cars and he would go back to his hotel--- sit down on the floor and open all the batteries, put each one on each toy to check and make sure they are all working---and he would do this till wee hours like 3 am, 4 am until he falls asleep. The next day, he would give them away to children in orphanages he visits.

I MEAN-- WHO DOES THAT????? :amazed: :cloud9:

Joe Jackson is an *******! (if its true)
Apparently Joe Jackson is offering tix for $3000 to wine and dine with him during a viewing of This Is It. We’re serious:

Fashion Designer Bian Variani, in collaboration with LVH magazine, Brenden Theatres and Seven&Company, is offering a $3,000 “Platinum VIP” package culminating in a screening of This Is It in Vegas on Oct. 27. It’s highlighted (if you will) by a “private dinner with Mr. Joseph Jackson,” who will pose for photos and autograph copies of his book, Joseph Jackson: Man in the Mirror, Father of the First Family of Music, which will be handed out as part of the package. The hotel’s comped as well. After the film, Joe will “thank the viewers and the fans for watching his son’s movie with him,” and host an opening night party at Palms Casino Resort’s Moon nightclub.
