I hope people will stop speculating with regards to MJs death, you were not there and you certainly dont know what really happened. MJ is dead he cannot defend himself with regards to accusations that he begged and pleaded for drugs and hoarding drugs. Its their word against a dead man- right?NOT FAIR!Dr Murray is ALIVE- he very well can defend himself and all the accusations hurled against him. I hope we just respect the man and his legacy. I think this thread is a tribute to him from his fans and those of you who arent just breaks hearts of us who love him and believe in him, even his kids are questioned if he really is the father, his capabilities to bear children, how he died etc all are very hurtful dont you think? i wouldnt want something like this to happen in my life or in Anybody's life it just is so very hurtful- so if some of you dont have good things to say i suggest you make a new thread.thank you
Why the unhappy faces? I was responding to the post above that said, "this thread is a tribute to him" and "so if some of you dont have good things to say i suggest you make a new thread.thank you."

Well you do have a thread for that and it is called "Official Michael Jackson Memorial Thread."

I am allowed to talk about toxicology reports in this thread and I promise you I won't go into the Official Michael Jackson Memorial Thread and talk about anything other than what a great performer he was.

No, the Official Michael Jackson Memorial Thread is the place to never say anything other than how great a performer he was and how much you all miss him.

I just think you could have chosen your words above a little more carefully. I for one took it to be a little patronising, to say the least.

I was due to see him in concert tonight - Im feeling pretty sad about it. I dont want to come here to read about him & feel patronised or upset.

Thanks though ... you managed both!

Patronizing? I don't think I was behaving in an offensively condescending manner toward anyone.

I WAS told that this is a place for his fans and I should not post information about toxicology reports though... although we can in this thread.

His death is still raw for many of us.

Not for some of you, OK.

Maybe those of you who are not hurting or sad (or never were) about his death, those of you who don't want to use this thread to revere his life and work, maybe the solution would be for you to start a thread called "Michael Jackson's ongoing rumors and legal battles" or something of the sort.

That way, paternity, drug, death issues and legalities can be discussed candidly. And people can argue and fight about it to their heart's content on another thread.

The woman who started that horrible thread with the "video of his ghost" the other day can add her link to the new thread....

People deal with situations like these in different ways. Some prefer to just focus on his work and his memory and some want to analyze various aspects of his life. He was taken from us and people want to know why.

I think we can do both of those things, as long as we stay respectful of one another.

Poor Michael?

He begged and pleaded for the stuff and if this doctor didn't give it to him, then he would have found another who would. Which is why they say that very rich people get substandard health care, they can shop around for a doctor who will take money to give them what they want.

I think Michael was somewhat to blame... ? No?

I've known a few addicts in my life and they are a manipulative and resourceful bunch when they want their drugs. It's very sad but I have to agree that Michael, as a human being and an addict, was somewhat to blame.

Addicts with a lot of money can have a difficult time wanting to get clean, especially when they are seriously enabled by doctors and whoever else, because they don't experience the full consequences of their addiction.

Katel, I don't mean to argue with you, but please understand that this thread started with speculation and proceeded into 'what could have killed him' territory. Now you come along and tell us to start a new thread that will continue to discuss what we have already been discussing here, for 200 pages?

If that's what the Mods want, we can do that... :shrugs:

If you would like to check back, I didnt comment on your mention of the toxicology reports. I simply said that I thought your comment about posting in the other thread was patronising .. that was IMHO .. so your answer that you didnt think you were being patronising doesnt really matter to me. It was MY opinion I was commenting on, my thoughts, my take of the post.

I havent ever told anyone what to post or what not to post. My comment was that I found that post (& some others you have made to be completely honest!) to be quite rude towards people on here who have shown any kind of sadness or hurt at the death of Michael Jackson.

At the end of the day - we are all different & we all have different opinions on things & different ways of dealing with things.

However, to me, your comment was hurtful & patronising. End of.

Jayne, i know you probably don't mean to but you do have a condescending tone at times. I don't need to "please understand" what this thread started with. I have followed the entire thread irl (after July 3, when I returned from out of the country). Just because I haven't posted daily or regularly doesn't mean I haven't been here, daily, several times, on this thread. I come here trying to feel closer to Michael, to process his death and the sadness I feel about him dying so young.

I think most of us have been coming to this thread to to honor him, feel close to him, and adjust to the loss of his death, so when arguments start about who can technically father this, who can't, who looks like whom, etc, and now basically that Michael did himself in (which is what you have pointed out) and he was responsible for his own death - it's just so jarring in a thread where people are trying to honor Michael Jackson.

It's the casual banter about the legalities around his death that are shocking to some of us. It would be like us breaking into the memorial of your nearest and dearest and shouting about how they weren't really genetically related to you, they killed themselves, blah blah. It seems so wrong and unnecesssary on this thread.

Why not start another thread with legal speculations and to follow the murder trial? I for one do not want to read about the murder trial every day here. It just reopens the wound for me. He's gone and I come to this thread to respect Michael Jackson.

Jayne1,I haven't found any of your post to be patronizing or offensive in any manner nor directed toward anyone.
Thanks for trying to direct those that continue to grieve and feel the need to honor him the proper thread in which to do so.

And for the record his death being listed as a homicide on the death certificate in no way constitutes that he was a victim of murder.

I completely agree.

Since the beginning of this thread those who've had doubts about what most of the grievers/die-hard fans believe to be true have been called names and blatantly disrespected. I think Jayne1 has been beyond nice, especially considering some of the comments. I know it's a touchy subject but I'd prefer to be objective about it.
