Is it really stunt double? Because for me he looks like Michael.

MightyMouse, I zoomed in and that is the stunt man I can tell by the hair line. Also, I believe this video was recorded in the last couple of days when Michael was in SD.

So, I believe this is just a set up shots for filming (to get the stunts right, lighting, etc) so when Michael get back on set everything would be in place for him to film the scene.

Hi everyone!

I found this forum while searching for Fassbender photos. Figured I'd join since everyone seems cool here.

I'm def a Fassbender fan and I've watched 12 Years a Slave at a test screening back in Feb.
Welcome. :smile1: What did you think of TYAS?

Looks good. I want to see the clip they showed at Comic Con.

ETA: Anyone going to TIFF? I'm still debating if I should go.

I thought TYAS was pretty good. Very cold film, but that's how McQueen films are. At the time the film had some serious pacing issues, which may have been fixed. There was another test screening fairly recently but I couldn't make it.

Fassbender is diabolical. There's no other way to describe it. His character is evil. I wonder what he had to do to shake of such a wretched persona. I'm sure that will be asked during press junkets.

I thought Benedict Cumberbatch was good as well. He's a nice slave owner who tries to protect Solomon Northup.

I was also at Comic-Con this past weekend. Loved the Days of Future Past panel. But the highlight was LOKI! :graucho:

Welcome and thanks for this! Me thinks the fangirls will be shocked as some of them are only seeing their favs in a film together and not thinking about the theme or the context. Should make for an interesting watch lol

I think McQueen is his muse and vice versa...they seem to bring out the best in each other. I'm sure Fassy felt relatively "comfortable" playing this character the way he did b/c McQueen created a creative space for him to do so. Given Fassy's relationship w/ McQueen & his romantic relations with WOC (women of color), hopefully the audience will not associate him with this character and believe that he is racist.
