My thoughts exactly! Over the internet no less, I'm sure the original story has been inevitably altered.

BTW, how excited are you about WonderCon?! And the possibility of seeing Fassy? There are so many cool panels. I really wish I had found out about it sooner or that it had been in SF per usual. Oh wells = ( some other time in life maybe.

Very. Lol. I'd probably be more excited about the possibility of seeing him if I felt he were single. But you know, now it's just like, "meh, whatever..."

I'm a total liar, by the way.;)

Well, I'll have the one dissenting opinion about this rumor here, I guess. And it's possible that Michael felt the same if, indeed, this whole thing is true. It's not like the woman was not in the movie. Not like she was some random girl who he decided he wanted to bring. She was an actress in the movie. Her character was integral in illustrating Brandon's intimacy issues. Why should the studio not pay for her to be there?

I kind of agree with this. And here's the thing...when you get to that echelon where Fassy is at, you can start making demands like this and no one blinks an eye or considers it stingy or rude. It's like those rock stars who require bowls of m & m's with all the brown ones removed and so on. It becomes a matter of so many people ready to bow down to your commands, that if you don't make them, you aren't playing the game right.

I also like the fantasy of him going to bat for Nichole to get her expenses covered because maybe she doesn't have as much "hand" or power yet as he does and so he sees an opportunity to assist her. Of course I would lean toward the most romantic explanation. :D:cool:

:smile1: I’m aware that the interviewer will probably go through all the questions and select the best/most conventional ones to ask them later but I also know how those kinds of Q&A work. Usually the interviewer is sitting in front of them with some kind of computer device and strolling through the huge pile of questions but I also know that the actors get to check out all the questions beforehand rejecting the ones who could embarrass them when going live so he will surely see mine at some point.
I read the questions previously asked on that board (there’s only 4 pages atm) and between the irrelevant ones, the ones knowing nothing about the movie, the director or the actors previous work, the ones wondering who the hell Michael might be, the ones asking Charlize out for a date… I think mine still stands a good chance among all that nonsense fest  At least, it’s goofier so it will probably get their attention. Maybe not. Fingers crossed :graucho: Should be interesting somehow. Well…

Artica the live interview will be Saturday at 4:30 pm but I’m not sure it will be available on video if you miss it though ;)

Notice it took her a while to write that up. She didn't post it on the day the photos were taken. She sounds uncharacteristically diplomatic, like she was trying to keep from writing what she really wanted to. Of course, she couldn't keep from mentioning 'his type' because of course, that's the only reason he's dating her. "She’s his type – petite, dark-skinned, exotic beauty, full lips. That really is his type." Like she's rationalizing it using the 'his type' explanation. I'm thinking that ol' Kaiser needed some time to deal with some salty feelings, which to me, still managed to seep out of the words on the screen. But that's just me. I sometimes see things differently than most.

Kaiser and Lainey are just jealous because their hopes have been crushed big time, these cougars need time to deal and could use a drink or two IMO. There’s still a lot of haters out there it’s a real shame, I more read dummy comments today like: “that’s creepy she could be his daughter”, “who is this crack ho anyway?”, “what a downgrade she’s fugly and why is she wearing leg warmers”, “that guy digs fresh chocolate”, “his career in Hollywood is already done bye bye fella”… :wtf::bagslap:
OMG Really?! Really?! Ugh can't quite believe these people and I breathe the same air.

I know I shouldn’t even get involved in this again and just let you speculate widly about it but I just wanted to insist on the fact that he didn’t make that special request sound like a blackmailing ultimatum at all from what I was told (or else I would be threw with him too) and the whole thing went down through his PR staff anyway. And none of them paid anything so you shouldn’t blame anyone of them for enjoying a bit of their new deserved status and fair hard work reward. It’s very common stuff in this business, really. Everyone takes advantage of everyone when they get the opportunity to do so (God, I already sound bitter). Labelling him as stingy is ridiculous though. Just calm down people.

It's not like the woman was not in the movie. Not like she was some random girl who he decided he wanted to bring. She was an actress in the movie. Her character was integral in illustrating Brandon's intimacy issues. Why should the studio not pay for her to be there? Perhaps that was his argument. I would wonder the same. I, for one, don't see it as him being stingy when looking at it in this light. Or any other, to be honest. I know that people claim to have inside information but who really has inside information from Michael, himself, as to his thinking and reasoning with regards to this issue?

Besides, by the time these rumors get out into the public (i.e. people who are not directly involved in the matter - and hell, even people who are) the story has changed so many times. It's like a game of 'Operator' for those of you who are familiar with that game.

Great input everyone (and many others that I forgot to multiquote). Sassy, having direct knowledge on the matter, it's cool that you could shut this narrative down,-- sorry for making you comment on it! I tend to be a Fassbender optimist in general, so sometimes I second-guess my instinct of always seeing the "more probable" explanation (mea culpa Fass!). :D A bit unfortunate that tongues got loose in the first place, I guess...

They paid to bring Nicole, James Badge Dale and Elisabeth Masucci to the LA screening a week or two before the Paris premiere, it makes sense that they would want more than just Steve and Michael at the Paris premiere (particularly someone excessively pretty; it is France after all) especially since they knew the language barrier would make for an awkward Q & A.

Your comment about France expectations in terms of beauty and class made me giggle. Oh, sweet stereotypes :smile1::laugh:
Actually the part about her not being invited by MK2 initially is true as no one in France have a single clue about who she might be (I was probably the only one in the room who ever saw 'American Violet') and the official report never mentioned her being there at all. They didn't even knew who Steve and Michael were  They were briefly in Cannes in 2008 and won "La Caméra d'or" for 'Hunger' (then IB & FT) but that's about it for most of them, ignorant people I know. Very few people there really knew about their filmography and career, believe it or not ;)

Today is a beautiful, sunny day and I'm meeting with my friends for coffee and then shopping. I' m planning to buy the rest of the films of Fassy and also Nicole's 'American Violet'. I haven't seen her performance other than Shame, so excited about it. Is there anyone who has seen it? Do you recommend?

Ugh only questions directly related to ‘Prometheus’ were asked :shucks: Don’t know where they selected those questions, certainly not from the board :amuse: This was only interesting for a die-hard Comic Con geeky crowd IMO. Who really cares about CGI, spaceships and sci-fi? :D
They were cute but Charlize kinda fails at making jokes though… and not so subtle flirting :giggles: Michael was goofy and yeah he’s a total nerd :p
Anyway, there’s still a replay here for those who missed it: http://uk.movies.yahoo.com/prometheus/

Have a nice day :drinks: ;)
