So whenever I have nothing else to do, I've been catching up on MF's TV work. I didn't realize that he's worked with Helen McRory (amazing stage actress, Damien Lewis's wife, was in Hugo this year and played Narcissa Malfoy in Harry Potter) at least three times.

Anyway, they were in a ****ty movie called 'Carla' together.

This is the latest UK Corset Crew done by Daily Mail and me thinks someone should do it for Michael alone. :p

I loved it, so did my friend:D He instantly fell in love with him and appreciated his performance. I don't want to give any spoilers, brilliant and brave performances from Mulligan and Fassy. What hit me most about the film was their loneliness. He cries for help (not loudly) which we can feel through the film but there is no one to give him a hand.He has a sister (who is more ****ed up than him obviously and a needy type) to contend with as she moves in with him. It is a mirror how we are powerless over our bodies sometimes. Shame is not for everyone as it is complex, challenging and emotionally devastating.

ITA with you and for me Brandon's scenes with Cissy made me flinch. Especially the one of her talking on the phone and Brandon listening behind closed doors.

He worked with Damian Lewis in Band of Brothers, what an amazing actor. I love Homeland which is one of the best things on TV. So he knows both of them.

I started to watch Homeland only because Lewis Mandy Patinkin were part of it. Great show and IMHO Keira could learn a lesson or two from Claire Danes when it comes to playing mentally unstable people.

Who Wouldn’t Want to Talk to Eliza Coupe?

If you’ve been paying attention lately, then you know who Eliza Coupe is. And if for some reason you don’t, well, get ready, because she’s about to kick you in the face. Hard. She would love that. No, really, she would. But only if you found it as amusing as she did… or really, even if you didn’t. Coupe, who stars in the hit TV show, Happy Endings and first stole your hearts as Dr. Jo Mahoney in Scrubs, has been blowing up the blogosphere recently with her hilarious web series “Why Won’t You Talk to Me?” The series is based around her relationship with Michael Fassbender, who for some reason just won’t talk to her. Maybe it’s because it’s actually Fassbender’s cutout? ChinaShop caught up with Coupe on the set of Happy Endings and she and co-creator Briana Venskus explained how the project happened and how close they really have become with Fassbender.

It’s clear that Coupe doesn’t take herself seriously at all and is really just here to have a good time. If that makes you laugh, fantastic. She’s sitting in her trailer looking at a magazine cutout of Michael Fassbender and having a fully engaged one-sided, slightly neurotic conversation with him, completely distraught at why he won’t talk to her. The tears start to well. Welcome to the world of “Why Won’t You Talk To Me?” The humor is at times borderline uncomfortable: you really aren’t sure if Coupe is serious or not. Actresses are supposed to be crazy, right?
Coupe says the whole thing started by accident. “I walked into my trailer one morning and there were pictures of Michael Fassbender all over my trailer that Brie (Venskus) had put up. But they were hidden, so I didn’t see them at first. Then I opened my fridge, and there’s the picture we’ve been using and it said, ‘Mmm, protein balls.’” Coupe laughs, “And then I go into my bathroom, and there is another picture of him over the toilet and another on my mirror, and they all said hilarious things.”

Coupe and Venskus had a laugh over the trailer photo bomb and thought it might be funny to shoot a promo video for Happy Endings. When they posted the first Fassy video, they had no idea it was going to get 10,000 plays right off the bat. What started as one promo video quickly turned into something bigger. So they filmed more webisodes, and it took on a life of its own. There is no script, and they film between takes on Happy Endings. Venskus, who is a PA for the series, says, “Eliza thinks of really weird things, and then I just tell her to do something else that’s really weird, and then she does that, and somehow it works.” Obviously, it’s working since their viewership grows every week.

With all of the time the two of them are spending with Fassy’s cutout, it’s no wonder he’s become like a weird imaginary friend. Venskus explained how she even took him with her on a recent trip to NYC. “He rode the subway with me, I had him pose in pictures in various places around the city, it was awesome.” And Coupe explains how their on-screen romance really wears on her, “I get very emotional at times. I look at him and just honestly think, ‘Why won’t you talk to me?’ Clearly a deep rooted issue.
The producers and other actors on the show had no idea any of this was going on until the videos went viral. Coupe laughs, “They would come up to us and just say, ‘When did you do all of this?’” Venskus would film Coupe in between set-ups on Happy Endings and then edit the clips together. “She’s a wizard,” says Coupe. “We fired off, like, four of them in a week. I mean, we would shoot something, I would run to set, shoot a take, she would have cut something, I’d run and take a look, move something around, go to hair and makeup, she’d have another edit, I’d check again, go shootHappy Endings, we’d finalize, and that’s how it went. It was crazy, but it kept us sane during the long shoot days week after week at work. It’s so much fun.” And of course the producers love it.

Yes, she keeps doing because it's fun. And certainly not because it gives her more publicity exposure.

Ask Michael Fassbender and Charlize Theron questions on yahoo here:

And see their answers on March 17th here:
http://uk.movies.yahoo.com/prometheus/

To Michael:
"Marry Me?" :smile1:
"Are you as good in bed as you seem to be in 'Shame'?" :graucho:
"Why did you agreed on dying your hair blond for the movie, by the way was there any dying involved in 'Shame' because we all know you're a ginger?" :p
"Are those allegations remotely true? If not, why not denying them sometime?" :nogood:
"Were you drunk when you signed for 'Angel'? Threaten maybe?" :shame:
"When are you gonna quit smoking?" :D
"FMK: Wonder Woman - Kim Bassinger - Your Ex (yeah that one)?" ;)
"Are you planning on doing a movie with Scorsese?" :supacool: :drinks:
"What's the best advice somebody ever gave you?" ... never mind I already know that one

To Charlize:
"Can you please step away from my man?"... heard Skarsgard is single and livin' it up somewhere :sneaky:

In all of Atlanta, which is a pretty big metropolis, Shame only showed at one dinky hipster theater in Buckhead, which is indicative of the conservative religious values around here. Many of my friends would have been horrified to even know I went to see it!

Hello and welcome! Why would you friends be horrified to know you saw it? Also, how come you resisted the urge to join fan-sites before, just curious, as always :smile1:
And Shame was only playing in one theatre, wow, that is limited release.
But in general theatre's must be getting hit by online/other viewership. I have a projector+gd system, sneaks in friends dads 'for your v. consideration' stash, not to mention amount of stuff we download, makes one now feel a wee bit guilty:oh:

For Mollie - Love Judy Dench use of language -'anarchic' - I'll bet the actor is! There is the acting, the film choices, goofiness, partyboy behaviour, that dancing..."wild irish boy"...no one ever said Cronenburg was not smart, if cutting.

*gasp* I just love his profile...that jawline

I know this isn't "I want to f*** you silly" Michael but I kinda like it. it's more "bubble bath ,eskimo kisses, and late night cuddling on the couch" Michael. It's refreshingly human and vulnerable and i like it.

eskimo kisses...so funny.
As I said before I took one of my gay friends to see Shame at the weekend. What he came up today was this link;:woohoo:
http://fassbendick.tumblr.com/
A tumblr page dedicated to Fassdong, be very careful opening this. +18

That tumblr link, and the other one I just watched about Ben Cumberpatch on the boat, OMG, my eyes, my eyes. I am somewhere between horror and delight, so thanks for that...

Sassy Lady;)

I had a pretty awesome week in London last week, guess who I ran into again? :graucho:
3rd time's the charm they say, well I'm on it...

Hola! Cheesy 80's songs are great. And please tell all about your your meeting was it Fassbender?I don't mind being teased with gossip, cryptic hinting, scoops!

Question and answer with celebs online...that's asking for trouble....
One of my friends worked a lot with Charlize + they do not have they greatest reln ever. But she is difficult (friend) so am sure it was equal parts stormtrouping and, well, actors are prima donna's. But I should ask her for some questions!

Watching North by Northwest right now, Cary and Eva are still amazing. He gives good very good voice...as does Michael Fassbender. I think the way people sound is probably even more attractive than appearance in general.

Spill the beans Sassy Lady. You teasing us is getting old.

Could you watch your tone with me please? I’m not teasing anyone and FYI I don’t have to share anything/everything if I don’t want to. It is the internet after all and I’m entitled to some privacy as much as the next person. If you don’t like it that’s not really my problem: read gossip magazines or write some fan fictions but chill first…

Again, I'm sorry but I just can't share this one. Maybe next time :smile1:

I'm so sorry if I offended you. I wasn't that serious. My tone was actually meant to be teasing and not meant to be accusatory. I'm happy that you got to meet him again.

Its good to see new people on this forum. Welcome! Beware, it is pretty addictive I'm ashamed to say.

Michael should perform this song.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLzRRg91ua8

It would be so funny.

:)

Funny - yes he should! Reminds me of my first time seeing in Germany 'Hogan's Heroes' dubbed in Deutsch, would be as hilariously meta as that:D

I think he or someone should bring this back (thanks u people who reminded me about the Sound of Music).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXtSP8e27rA (Plummer and daughter have hot chemistry...sorry, dodgy, could not help myself ;-).

Oh, then I'm sorry too sweety :flowers: first thought you were being rude my bad :sweatdrop:

I figured if anyone would know this, it's one of ya'll....

Can anyone who saw Fish Tank tell me what Mia's mother said (towards the end of the movie, i'm trying to avoid spoiling it)....something about an abortion appointment?

I actually listened to that song for the 1st time in years this morning, never thought I would have liked being watch over by a creepy stranger fixing me some tea before

Some girls have all the luck :girlsigh:
