The JE movie was also too short , so many things were left out.

I´ve read people who did not read the book had problems with understanding the plot...

( Even if they deserved it. How can someone NOT read Jane Eyre? :graucho: )

It was too short, I would have been happy to sit through another half hour if it would have made the movie flow more smoothly.

IMO there were parts in the middle where the framing was subpar and to me that's the fault of the director... this is not to say that I didn't like the movie or didn't think it was good but I thought it had the potential to be a much greater movie than it ended up being.

Also... and this could all be in my mind but I kind of got the impression in a few Jane Eyre articles that perhaps Fassbender and the director didn't completely gel... stylistically speaking.

Wasn't ROC a good friend of Quentin Tarantino's girlfriend and didn't they meet on the (notoriously debauched) set of IB? ...or something along those lines... a lot of it was probably situational.

Glad to hear you saw Jane Eyre. It's a pity you couldn't see it on the big screen, the cinematography was the highlight of the movie. What did you think of the movie overall?

I liked it. Really enjoyed the acting (the accents are a bit dodgy every now and then, but who cares.). I don't think this film will make a huge impact on Fassy's career and it probably won't get any Oscar nominations either. They released the film too early in the year for that. Perhaps the producers are banking on the numerous European awards ceremonies. I for one will definitely see it in the cinema again in September.

Can someone find me some articles where he has spoken about his gfs.

He rarely speaks about his relationships in the press, which is a pretty smart thing to do. Unfortunately none of his ex-gfs have spilled the beans either. I was reading through that massive thread about those assault charges on ONTD yesterday. I found it a bit disturbing. I don't think he hit her, but I am wondering about his drinking. He seems to be photographed with alcohol very often. :thinkin:

Well, he is Irish & German.

What do you expect?

Hell the same could be said about Alex. Lord, know he could open his own brewery

I really wanna watch Jane Eyre again LOL I can't get enough of sexy Rochester close talking.

But it seems wine is fine too.

I guess as long there is alcohol in it anything is just fine...

That's so funny, cause I don't have that at all. I've several of his films quite a few times, but I have no need to see JE again until it's in the cinema. I want to see Jonah Hex. Is it really awful? I guess that's why they didn't release it in the UK.
