^ LOL!! Young Fassbender photos = my Achilles' heel. Can't resist that devilish face that probably smiled its way out of any trouble. Look at those dimples!!

Penny, you need to upload a photoshopped image of a teenage Fass dressed in red/white altar server clothes, running through a wheat field :lolots:

Re: Bad Spelling

I'm not surprised by this. I think he had/has either dyslexia/severe ADHD. My money is on the severe ADHD. He's mentioned too many times about reading slowly, learning to read late, having trouble in school, telling his parents not to waste their money sending him to university, being incapable of working a desk job and preferring manual labor. And everyone says he has an insane, INSANE amount of energy. His sister is an ADHD researcher. And I wouldn't be surprised if he's so addicted to cigarettes because they act as a depressant.

RE: Haywire

It needed more action and less plot, because the action was awesome. Gina was monotonous but awesome. Ewan is kind of a wuss. The last fight scene should have been more climactic, but it wasn't because he isn't very convincing.

I'm shocked that skinny ***** Michael is strong enough to throw around Gina as violently as he does, because she probably weighs as much or more as he does. I thought he looked great in his shirtless scene. I'm kind of surprised Soderbergh had him do that instead of the former underwear model Channing, though.

Ah, I was just gently ribbing him yesterday re: bad spelling. Imo, maybe more childhood dyslexia, that has been dealt with certain coping mechanisms which have been reinforced with time (a keen ear and being more visually attuned to things; less proclivity for written material if another medium is available), or something at the chiasm of mild ADD and just plain old restlessness. But who knows, and since it's not really my beeswax, I'll stop it at this.

Glad you enjoyed the action in the movie Mollie! The movie's not getting such good viewer ratings here in Mtl, but I'm hoping it will perform above expectations, in terms of domestic box-office. It's funny how Fassbender seems to only have 10 minute of screen time in the movie, but those minutes have been its main marketing tool!

Oh, that roundtable is usually awesome. Last year's lineup featured Colin Firth, Nicole Kidman, Natalie Portman, Annette Bening, James Franco (and a 6th one?) and the chat was very candid. The interviewer was also pleasant and not as annoying at the Hollywood Reporter's roundtable host. Can't wait!

Chica, hopefully it won't jinx him either but it has happened many times in the past that an interviewee didn't end up getting nominated like James McAvoy, (probably Christoph Waltz, Nick Nolte and Steve McQueen this year alone)... so it's not like a situation where he's getting ahead of himself (yet);)
