That is a lovely bag, looks so soft which is a change from the predominantly Saffiano leathers

The only place the hard saffiano bags are more prominent, is here on this forum! lol! MK actually has WAY more soft leather bags than they have in the saffiano that we always see so much uf here. I sell MK on ebay and the soft leather bags get much more bidding on them than the saffiano bags I have listed. I just listed this black Astor and it got over 50 bids and sold for 193.00 USED!! I had a saffiano Hamilton listed the same week and I only got 21 bids and it sold for 110.00. I also had many more people watching the soft leather Uptown Astor. There were 65 watchers compare to 32 watching the Hamilton.
What is popular on this forum is not the same on ebay, at all! Here we have about 25 regulars and maybe 50 others that pop in, plus all the many lurkers ( a couple thousand! lol!) who never comment but just want to learn about the bags.Although I do see that 63,000 have looked at the Selma thread! On ebay there are millions, and I can tell you that MK's soft leather bags are WAY more in demand. In fact there are NO saffiano leather bags, in MK's luxury collection of MICHAEL Kors. They are only seen in the MICHAEL Michael Kors Collection. All of his luxury bags are in the soft leather. He has some gorgeous soft leather bags. Don't miss out!

I love the soft leathers too!

I just saw this one on Poshmark. Love it because this one has the double buckles on the bottom of each side. Most of the hobos only have the singular buckle straps on the bottom. THis is one is hard to find! She wants a lot for it though at 250.00 for a used bag. She doesn't even have it listed as a Fallon! I don't think she knows.

See the difference? The second one only has one buckle decoration on each side, compared to two of them on the first one. The first one is really HARD to find! There are NONE like this on ebay. I am beginning to wonder if it is called something else?

Yes that is sweet! I would imagine they are in the Fallon family. They are very similar except for the extra buckle. But who knows? MK keeps changing style names all the time. THe Bedford had four completely diffnt looking designs. Is weird! lol!

I just sold it to a gal in Canada for 195.00! She got a great deal because this bag retails on the MK website for 448.00!

Yes, I will really miss that bag. It was gorgeous! Met all of my likings except for no outer pocket. I just gotta have those outer pockets! lol! What a shame I am such a fanatic about that, because this really was a gorgeous bag and I will miss it.

I got the hobo and it was too small! I couldn't get my things down in it very well as it just didn't open wide enough for me. I absolutely loved the look of it and the way it felt on my shoulder. It was balanced and not too heavy. But I could feel the frustration level rising when I would try to put things in or out. I am disappointed that it didn't work because I really wanted this bag.

WoW! Thanks for letting me know. I don't want it if it's too small. I was sure it was bigger than the other one. The one I was kooking at wa 10 x 15 with a 5 in depth. I wonder if they come in different sizes?

It might just be me but I think it is because it is not deep. Remember you said something about your wallet lying flat in the bottom of your bag? Well this bag is only about an inch or 2 deep. By the time my wallet was in along with a few other things it was crowded and I couldn't just easily get something out. I knew I was going to have to 'dig' and I hate digging


I auctually loved the size of it for the way it looked as I don't like big bags. I really wanted to love this one as it was so nice and very balanced on my shoulder.


I think another thing is that it has one strap and so it is always there in the way to get into the bag. Double straps fall to the side and get out of the way.


I don't think this one is any smaller than the other one. Not sure the other one would be any better for me.


I am beginning to believe the "perfect" bag doesn't really exist....... for me anyway.

It's funny how you speak of the Saffiano vs smoother/softer leathers i was in MK yesterday and the majority of the bags in our Boutiques are Saffiano.. one must search out the softer varieties. I've only been to an MK outlet once but there seemed to have more of the softer leather.

I know it's weird, because all of the soft leather bags are between 400 and 600.00 even in the outlets, and you can get the saffianos for less than 300 on sale all the time. Also, there are NO saffiano bags in their higher end, luxury Michael Kors Collection.All of the bags in that collection, such as the Miranda, Casey, etc,. are all soft leather, not saffiano. All of the saffiano bags are in the MICHAEl Michael Kors Collection only. Makes me wonder about that. Have you looked at pricing on their website? Price the soft leather large bags, compared to the saffiano. Big difference. Makes me mad! lol!
