Ookay, I went to my Macy's and they were still metal on the outside and leather in the inside. I took multiple pictures.

I was actually talking about the zipper itself and not the zipper pulls. All the ones I saw had metal pulls but the zipper teeth themselves were plastic on some and metal on others...like I saw 2 bags both luggage color but one had the plastic zipper and the other had the metal. When I head to macys I'll take pics and post them. Sorry if I stirred up confusion [emoji4]

I knew what you meant the actual teeth of the zippers, I actually wonder if some of those pictured are plastic, some look it but could just be the coloring in the shots...

I admit to not poking at the zippers to much in the MK store, no department store near me carries the brand so in the boutique it would be odd to manhandle the zippers.

If my eyes aren't playing tricks on me by the pictures melbo posted it looks like some are metal and some are plastic teeth.

Thanks for the pictures, melbo. Now that I see it, it's not so bad. The plastic zipper matches the color of the bag, but the pull is metal. I think it makes the zipper blend in better with the bag. I like that the pull is still metal because I think it needs to be for durability.

I wonder if it's a trial? to see responses to the change? I know plastic zippers can be durable on the right application within the right quality, again though not so fond of the idea on a leather purse :shrugs:

The pull (thanks ubo22) is what I was worried about. I don't mind a plastic zipper that matches the bag, at least in certain styles, but not on most. I personally think they made some with metal and others with plastic to give the buyer a choice.

Hey, if I'm buying I will manhandle the crap out of something-purse, fridge, car, doesnt matter LOL! I always remove the paper and plastic when it comes to handbags too. I'm checking out everything from zippers to stitching. I even put my stuff inside checking for weight and shoulder slippage. That's probably the no1 reason we return a bag. Dirt or stains are good for extra off:graucho:. I'm the queen of stain removal so as long as its not final sale-give me extra off and Im out the door LOL!!
