All the pictures of fur babies and H always bring a smile to my face. I have an adorable cat that loves to hang out with my bags but not too long ago he did something he’s never done before........he started to chew on the handle of my Chevre kelly. He’s never bitten my other bags. Any of your pets do this? Wondering if it’s just Chevre leather or if he was just having a rough day?

Hate to even admit it, but yup- 2 of my bags ( one chevre, one not) have a single small drill mark in the handle. Was totally mystified and mentioned it to my SA, and she ( of course totally laughing at me) said " Think it matches his bite?" As soon as she said it, I KNEW she was right! Not cranky, not hungry, just interested in what it would taste like I'm sure. Can't see it at all unless you're looking for it ( and I've banished the entire conversation from my memory anyway) but I certainly do put my bags out of their reach - which is basically about out of mine as well. Gymnastics involved every morning on the way out the door, but out of sight, out of mind.

My cat bit the handle of my Birkin once many years ago I brought it to Claude at the NYC Madison store (lovely man), pointed out the bite mark and asked there was anything that could be done. He just shrugged his shoulders and said it didn't matter and eventually blend in. Claude was always practical about the bags. Very interesting man too.

And I agree- he's totally right. It doesn't matter at all, it's just part of the bag and your history together. Use them and enjoy them- what else do we have them for anyway?
