If this is true, then I will continue to not buy Louis Vuitton.

Horrible.
I just saw foxyLV posting it, and the hype trolls came immediately to bash anyone having the slightest of criticism. "LV was dying before him", "he single-handedly saved LV", and cr*p like that.
What happened is of course terrible, but it doesn't automatically make anyone a saint or Dior himself.
I would be very interested in reading a deeper research on this, but what I see is that the women's collection is still defining and luxury while the men's is just a wannabe player in the street style world. The Skittles Almas, the Game On stuff and even this crazy pillow collection are all dictating for lesser brands, who will follow and copy a season later. It is the natural way of new fashion filtering down, as the Miranda of Meryl Streep explained in her speech so brutally (and magnificently). But during Kim Jones Vuitton quite deliberately moved to street style for men's. And it is one thing that there is nothing high class or luxurious about that corner of fashion, but what is worse is that it is the domain of (you guessed it) Nike, Nigo, Supreme, etc... they can collaborate all they want, but they will always be the top players, not Vuitton. I totally understand that the only 'fashion' that moves young straight men is hyped street stuff and sneakers (which is a crazy deep subculture in itself), but is it really worth trying to appeal to that demographic slice of the nouveau riche by literally sacrificing your position in true luxury and art? Nicolas is an artist, his style is disctinctive and futuristic. It will be iconic 40 years from now. Anyone looking at something from him recognizes immediately. While the men's runway was just a crazy mix of the craziest stuff with very few shallow recurring symbols sprinkled over them. Applied art, but not art. The art of social activation and manipulation maybe, not the art that Lagerfeld was a master of.
Choosing Kanye might be even more crazy and hype-worthy than anyone else, while also being an appropriate tribute to Virgil in the eyes of most hype people. But is this a good direction in the long run? Arnault always said that he is planning for decades. Now they are just a follower in the moment with this street direction.

The thing is that Kim Jones, while steeped in streetwear, also knows and can design for luxury very well, and he knows how to balance the two in his collections. Virgil Abloh, though...no. Kanye? Even worse. Those two are purely hype for the Instagram crowd.

I was not a fan of Jones, but after a few shows I missed him dearly. He designed with the travel heritage in mind and is an artist. If that Supreme collection had been the only streetwear ride for Vuitton, I'd be OK with that, but this complete profile change...

i want more of this sort of thing for men vs the stuffed animals stitched to sweaters like some muppet centipede nightmare.. and kanye can stay at the gap. ugh

f/w 11/12 - indra /mono w the hard sided alzer trunk style latch. so simple/useful/classy. sigh. i'm still trying to track a mono historique clutch down to this day.

Is their any creative way for me to make this able wear It over the shoulder/crossbody!? I love the simplicity of it. But I don’t want to be carrying it hand held all day.

if you hook a longer strap on the hardware you’d be rubbing on the top handles, causing significant wear. I also think if you do it diagonally, you could compromise the structure of the bag due to the imbalance of weight since it is not designed for it - especially since it is a large bag you might be putting a lot of things into it so it could get quite heavy. I don’t recommend altering the bags in this way where the structure could be comprised but hey once you buy it it’s yours and you can do whatever you like with it.

maybe consider the On-The-Go instead? Otherwise you might have to wait until LV designs a large sac plat

edit- if you look at the sac plats, the smaller versions (like petit and bb) hook diagonally, but the larger ones (even pm) hook on the sides.
