How long has VA been creative director for LV menswear? Two / three years?
Anyway, since his arrival, I stopped buying new releases (RTW, shoes, accessories) at the boutiques and focused on buying Kim Jones and Paul Helbers RTW, shoes, accessories on VC. My collection has expanded with timeless, elegant items that will last me / appeal to me for years to come. I may need to post my purchases in the RTW and shoes clubhouses.
I think Kim’s last collection was fall winter2018.

So, I was in need of a wallet as my PO is too small and does not fit my ID. I posted here a few months ago which one I should get and.. chose the Brazza wallet in ME.

And the Grand Sac I’ve been looking for and waiting for months is now here! It’s not a reveal as the box was too big.

A sole paragraph for my new sales advisor. The kindest, most knowledgeable SA I’ve ever met in years across the globe. Would definitely recommend him here in Dublin.

Curiosity: our local store (the only one in Ireland) is now a “Core” LV Magasin and it’ll grow in size as well in the next few months. When I popped into the store yesterday, I was told that those men were LVMH executives discussing the store upgrade. Two of them were very kind and complimented my new bag.

Anywayz, what do you think guys?
Gorgeous items. The grand sac looks great on you and is perfectly proportioned!

I don’t like most of VA’s designs at all like the pvc Keepall and the chunky plastic chains on bags and accessories. The curved Keepalls are also an abomination. I wish Kim Jones had never left and can’t wait for someone new to take over. Do you think VA designs are selling well enough for LVMH to keep him?
My understanding is that his rtw moves much more than Kim Jones’ and rtw is cheaper to produce than leather goods. Plus you don’t have to service rtw down the line whereas people expect Vuitton leather goods to last for decades. So I’m sure profit margin is a lot higher with rtw hence I would not be surprised if on avg Virgil stuff is more profitable than Kim Jones’.

I know we aren’t the biggest fan of VA but just had to get this bag because of the color combo. Fell in love with the shape and look. Happy My SA was able to snag one.

I do find this bag interesting. However, I’m not a fan of the offset monogram. I wish it’s not an offset look. If I find the taurillon version when I’m in Europe next (god knows when), I’ll pick it up.

Who owns one of the Discovery Compact wallets? Really been on my radar due to the compact size and functionality with cards bills and coins. Wondering if anyone has experience with this item. Can’t find any reviews really. Want to know how it holds up and how much it can hold comfortably without creating creases etc.

I have looked at them in person, my opinion is do not carry lot if cash or coins. This is very compact wallet folding in tri-style.

I have also been considering the monogram shadow version. Here's a review video on youtube:
