I decided to go for it as we don't know if and when they will ever do the black and silver hardware. It took them over 4 years to re-do this since I missed out on M50732 from the 2015 line. I also ordered this bandoulière online to pair it with. Personally, I think it will look better on me vs. the thin strap.

Grabbed as well the iPhone Eye Trunk case. So there you have it 2 mod shots in one.

Oh wow! I’ve always loved the trunks on the shelf, but couldn’t picture them looking masculine and chic enough for me. But these mod shots have turned me!!! You and the bag look so good!

About the strap: I think the thin one looks just fine, especially with that shirt, but the wider ones are more comfortable anyway so I think you made a good choice.

UPDATE: Received the bandoulière strap... and yea... no, it was not a good match. Colors were prefect but size... not so much. It did not look like it belonged to the bag by miles. Went to the store yesterday and played around with my SA. We tried on straps from womens purses and finally made a decision to order one from a Keepall 55 Macassar as the leather trim on the petite Malle matches the leather trim on the Macassar. The width was perfect. (Keepall 45 strap was short to be used as cross body. Did not know they are shorter in length Vs. 55 until now.)
If you know your Louis Vuitton leather trim you would know that not all are the same. (sorry for being lazy in my lounging nerdy X Files shirt) will post a picture once the after sales strap arrives from France.

It is funny how the typeface on the website strap is different from the real thing.
At least the final product has the correct logo. But I am surprised how the online team couldn’t get it right.

Also the majority of the time the colors are not the same. I've had that happen before on other pieces. The reverse side of the strap was supposed to be light grey. It was not, its more dark metallic grey.
