It sounded like it was coated canvas with what I presume is some kind of film or material stamped on top of it and not silk screened judging from the post on here with the stain or peeling or was it glue? I think that was the pocket organizer. If the bags are made out of the same material you could have a look in that thread for a close up. It was supposed to have a holo sparkly effect that didn't appear in the photos.

I tried on these two and and I’ve never been tempted by anything gucci before but I’m liking this Marmont bag and it’s the perfect size for what I’m looking for. The graphite bag looked better than normal to me but graphite is still blah IMO. if only DE was more popular among men :(

Both look fantastic on you. I am both an LV and Gucci gal. I think I like the shape of the LV on you but go with your heart. You look great.

I like the DG bag looks good on you - I like the shape!
I am not in love with the Gucci Marmont.

If gucci is a more functional size for you and you like it, I think you should get it. There's nothing worse than having a bag that doesn't really suit your needs and it might end up gathering dust.

Since you posted on here I guess you don't mind hearing what othe people think about the styles and the patterns, but ultimately you're the one who'll have to decide what works for you. Personally I don't like the GG on the Marmont bag, but it is really popular at the moment. I don't think it's a "trendy" look though, so it's something you can use for years without having it looking dated. I don't like the graphite color scheme, I agree it's blah. Material wise the gucci is the better choice if you ask me. If you prefer something in leather with the same shape you might want to have a look at bottega veneta too.

I was actually looking for a similar but slightly smaller bag a while back and ended up going for a louboutin. I was surprised byt the craftsmanship and detail, especially considering the price, but I realize it's not a popular brand for bags.

I know, it sucks their isn't much DE bags now. I remember trying on the Zack Backpack in DG thinking the same thing, the print just feels blah. I would least like in DE with black leather. Personally I do wish LV would change up DE with some nicer leather lining.

I like the shape of the Gucci, but I don't like the quilting at all.

I love the shape of the Dayton and the pocket in front, but the DG is just boring. If only it came in DC...

Yeah i think the Gucci is not in the running.... i do love the shape of the Dayton which is why i have tried it on a few times but i can't seem to pull the trigger because it's graphite. Do I wait and see what else comes out? I feel like i have really disliked what LV came out with recently :(

Yeah graphite gets all the love i just wish the other canvas lines were expanded!

I like the shape of both. I have a Jake PM which is my most used bag so i thought the Dayton PM would be a nice style for me but DG is not my fav. Is liking the style/shape enough to buy the bag?! ugh lol
