I find a lot--maybe most--of what I've seen of Off-White to be really ridiculously overhyped and overpraised, but I still think Virgil Abloh is an exciting choice. I'm interested to see where he takes Louis Vuitton, and I love that they're staying with streetwear and not going with boring lux

Mr. Virgil said he's not going to do off-white style for LV... said something like off-white is a 17-year-old version of him and LV will be a 37-year-old version stylistically. Will need to see what he will produce in June.
I mean, I just want the brand to continue to have some edge. It'd be horrible if they were to simply become nice, safe, boring, classic lux, kind of like Zegna. Don't get me wrong. Zegna makes nice stuff. It's totally safe, and it's totally boring, and people don't pay much attention to it, but it's nice.
I hope there will be other things than just streetwear.
I don’t think Louis Vuitton will ever be like Zegna. They pride themselves on being innovators.
I hope you're right. The men's line is still rather young, though, and there is no shortage of people who want boring and traditional luxury from LV.

Me too, off and on. How's the lv staff on Andrassy? Never shopped there but will this summer.
They are wonderful, so family-like being there (not to mention that the store is not bigger than a medium-sized apartment).
Although they hired quite a few new guys lately, who probably need a bit more time to get friendlier, but the Store Manager and my lovely SA are still like fairy godmothers.
